The apartment
Impressive 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom split level apartment/maisonette conveniently located just minutes from Boscombe pier, beach, many restaurants, bars and shops. Bed linen and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair are also provided.

Set within the prestigious Burlington Mansions a former Victorian luxury hotel which has been affectionately restored into luxury apartments, each one being unique with many of the original features retained. The flat, suitable for 4 people has two entrances and is located on the ground and first floors.Both the master and twin bedrooms have en-suites and there is a further WC downstairs. The lounge/dining area is very spacious with a large window that lets in lots of natural day light. The kitchen is fully fitted with everything to make this flat perfect for a self-catering holiday. Burlington Mansions is a 5 minute walk to the sandy beach at Boscombe. A good selection of shops, restaurants and bars can be found in several directions within close proximity. The centre of Boscombe is 5 minutes walking and Bournemouth centre can be reached by car in 10 minutes. Bournemouth beach is a pleasant stroll along from Boscombe beach or a short ride on the Land Train.

Local Area
Boscombe is a suburb of Bournemouth and is ideally located between Sandbanks and Hengistbury Head. Built in 1888 fully restored in 2007, Boscombe PIer is an impressive sight with its unique aircraft wing design entrance, new decking, lighting and viewing section at the end. Boscombe Cliff Gardens offers an impressive view that stretches from Hengistbury Head, through Bournemouth all the way to Poole Harbour. There is an impressive variety of quality restaurants, pubs and cocktail bars just minutes from the maisonette, several of which offer regular live music.The centre of Boscombe has a good range of high street name and independent stores and on Thursdays and Saturdays a bustling market where you will find fresh fruit and vegetable, meat and fresh seafood stalls as well as many clothing stalls.Once described by Thomas Hardy as the ‘Mediterranean lounging place on the English Channel,’ Bournemouth is an ever popular tourist destination with its 7 miles of award winning blue flag golden beaches. Beach huts were invented here in 1908, and those original huts (the oldest in the world) can still be rented today. The award winning Central Gardens stretch from the sea at Bournemouth pier for several miles down the Valley of the river Bourne and includes the Pleasure Gardens, the Bournemouth Eye Balloon and the Pavillion.The free Air Festival in August features incredible air displays, attractions and fantastic evening entertainment. The Christmas Market from mid November to Christmas Eve features German inspired chalets, an Alpine chalet style bar, carol singers and a brass band as well as the usual food, drink and present stalls and visits from Santa himself.There is a thriving youth culture here due to the high university population and many language school students. The seeds of new business culture are revolving around surfing and a Californian lifestyle is emerging.

Great place to stay
ooked a very last minute 5 night November stay at this apartment in Boscombe. Teresa the owner was really helpful considering she only had 1 day to sort everything and the apartment on arrival was absolutely perfect. The apartment in a converted former victorian grand hotel is furnished and presented to a high standard and has everything you could need. Location is ideal for the wonderful beaches, bars and restaurants the area has. Even in November we were able to get out walking every day. If you don't want to drive, local bus services are close at hand and very regular

Great apartment and fantastic location.
We found the property last minute but glad we did. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and roughly 25 mins walk into Bournemouth. Boscombe has a good selection of shops and supermarkets and is 3/4 minutes walk away. The apartments was spacious and well equipped, lots of leaflets regarding things to do, games and books. Seems like a good bus service we only used the once to return back from a long day at the air show. We visited Poole, Poole park, Christchurch, Sandbanks durning our stay all lovely places to visit. My children loved the pool table which guests can use. It had a handy 2nd door to the side of the main building which we tended to use. Overall would I recommend this apartment to others, definitely yes. We plan to return another year.

Fab place to stay. All mod cons and finishing touches that made all the difference. Clean and organised, spacious and comfortable. Cupboards full of games, maps, guides and some blast from the past dvds. Great shower, hairdryer, and modern kitchen appliances.All situated in a beautiful former hotel with a classy well kept lobby/foyer and hallways. What’s not to like….?

Wonderful family stay!
We are from Bournemouth but now live in Canada and come back for family visits. The flat was the perfect place for us and we were able to have my family over for dinners as the kitchen was so well equipped and the table seats 6. It was so nice being so close to the beach and going for a swim and walks. We are looking forward to staying here again!

A lovely apartment within easy reach of Boscombe Pier & the local shops. Very spacious with a very well equipped kitchen. Handy side entrance great for unloading & loading the car. A really lovely holiday helped by the glorious weather. Very good bus service. Didn't move the car the whole stay.

Lovely apartment
Stayed here for a week at the end of August and were generally treated to good weather. The master bedroom had a lovely comfy bed with good sized en siute. The twin room is quite small and more suited to younger children although our teenagers managed without too much fuss. We always had plenty of hot water during our stay. The virgin TV was good as was the WIFI. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of plates/cups etc. Instruction manuals are available for every appliance there is which is really helpful. We made use of the washing machine and dryer which was brilliant to have those available. We also made use of the pool table and gym that is in the building. The location is excellent and only a 5 minute walk to Boscombe beach. We enjoyed a couple of evenings at the bars on the promenade and several afternoons on the beach. Sainsbury's and Aldi are only a 5-10 minute walk away. There's a bus stop around the corner where you can catch one of the yellow busses. We used the bus to go to mudeford and hengistbury head which was beautiful. If you walk further into town, there's a variety of other busses. We caught the no 1 to Poole and enjoyed a boat trip around the harbour. I thoroughly recommend this apartment. Communication with the host was excellent throughout.

Comfortable, clean properly and great location for the beach
We enjoyed a lovely stay at this property. The flat is split across two floors and was spotlessly clean and well equipped. I would say that the beds in the twin room are probably too small for an adult, especially the pull-out one but that is mentioned in the listing. It was great for our young children. The main shower is in the en-suite with the twin room. The en-suite for the master has a bath with shower attachment. Lots of great storage in the bedrooms - so nice to be able to unpack fully and feel settled. The beach is a 5 min walk away and is nice and quiet compared with the main Bournemouth beach. There are very nice cafes and restaurants near by and some that we drove to. The town, itself, is a bit run down and neglected. It’s about an hours drive to Durdle Door & 2 hours to Lyme Regis, if you fancied a day trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

October half term mid week break
Great flat with excellent kitchen facilities and comfy beds and 10 mins walk to Boscombe beach. Despite the weather being rather windy and wet, 5 year olds still enjoy the beach and we were able to do everything we set out to do whilst there e.g. steam train rides, bus ride, Mini golf and ice cream. The flat was easy to find and very clean, shops were very close 10mins walk. TiVo box helped with kids tv when we weren’t out.

Ideal location, perfectly placed for beach, shops, bars/restaurants. The apartment was spotlessly clean, well-equipped & very comfortable. It was reassuring to know that Teresa was easy to contact & obviously takes a personal interest in the comfort & wellbeing of her guests. We had a fabulous holiday, cannot praise this host & her apartment highly enough. We definitely hope to return.

Beautiful flat
The flat was wonderful; exceptionally clean, spacious, beautifully presented and with everything you would need for a really enjoyable holiday. It is a short walk to the beach and located on the ground floor so easily accessible. The beds were so comfortable and, along with the sea air, ensured that we had a good sleep every night! Most days we took the ferry over to the Isle of Purbeck where there were some fantastic walks and wonderful natural beaches at Studland but Boscombe itself has miles of safe, sandy beaches and you can walk for miles along the sea front. Not many restaurants within walking distance but we used Deliveroo a few times and if you want to cook in the flat there is everything there that you need; even sandwich boxes for our picnics! I would thoroughly recommend a stay here and will certainly be back next time we visit Dorset.

Very comfortable in an ideal location
The property was perfect for our week exploring the New Forest and south coast beaches. It’s within walking distance of restaurants, supermarkets and takeaways as well as the beach. With both bedrooms having en-suites it made it easy to get ready in the morning to go out. The kitchen was very well equipped and the lounge with TV was very comfortable. The heating worked well on the one morning when needed and hot water on demand made washing up easy. Didn’t use the dishwasher but it was nice to have the option. All in all a very good experience with great communication from Teressa from start to finish.
