Great location and cute little cottage
The stay was homey and cosey. We did find some old banana on the bedside table and the driveway desperately needs hedging....and we have a small car!! Check in was seamless and location was nice and quiet. Very cute little nanna decore.

Great location
Perfect for our stay for a wedding at Bendooley Estate. Cute cottage though use of wide angle lens makes place look a lot bigger than it is. Visit from possums in the wall made for a bit of excitement in the night!

Cosy cottage in great location
What a gem! The cottage was immaculately clean. It has central heating which made it so cosy and warm in the middle of winter. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. The location was great for walks with our dogs by the creek and it is close to town and the Bradman museum. Contact with the agent was great. We had a lovely stay. Thank you so much.

I am a professional within the building/planning industry
The dwelling was clean. Good quality sheets and all the mod cons. My two Small dogs are happy. (I haven’t let them in the front yard, the underside of the front gate wouldn’t keep them in. But my dogs are mini)

Liked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Convenient but a few glitches
Booked by two elderly brothers for its proximity to Hospital where one was having hip replacement operation. The other brought a box full of DVDs so disappointed the advertised player was not there and then that there was no good lighting to read by instead. The ducted heating system took 3 nights to get working - by deleting all the schedules out of the controller. The R/C air conditioner and the two bar heaters were not adequate given there are no electric blankets. Absence of manuals for microwave, coffee machine, TV, thermostat controller also frustrating. Driveway and carport too narrow and difficult to negotiate with a medium size sedan, ended up parking in the street. Smart TV fine except no streaming services have been signed up. Some safety issues: the various steps should have fluorescent strips, the small antique lamp which we left in the dining room has faulty wiring, the TV barely fits on the table and is at risk of being knocked off. Otherwise amenities good, beds comfortable.

Hollyoak Cottage - Bowral
We found the property to be very comfortable, well fitted out and an excellent location. From a constructive criticism point of view, we found the driveway very narrow with bushes rubbing up against the car whilst negotiating the driveway. Otherwise, a pleasant and relaxing place to stay.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
misadventure
Management of this property is underwhelming. Dead insects on floor throughout household. Bath listed as feature, rusted with surface peeling and DIRTY! False advertising of amenities, Furniture had to be moved to be able to close door on bedroom. Overall tired, needing repairs, dangerous pathways - plumbing sticking up 10+cm above ground right where you get out of carport to access outdoor seating and pathway to house. Micro parasites infested guests, dealing with 30+ BITES. The owner needs to be notified of these outstanding issues. Not to be repeated or recommended.

Very tired
Whilst the property was in a wonderful position , (a short stroll to the Main Street), The property itself is very tired, all furniture and decor needs updating, I haven’t never seen so many dried arrangements anywhere other than a cemetery

Average little cottage, could do with a refresh
This cottage is fine for a short stay. It has a lovely layout and the central heating is a must as without it it would be very cold most of the year, but you do get the feeling that it is a bit unloved. The magazine rack hasn’t been updated since 2019, there are old dried flowers everywhere and access to the property via the driveway is suitable for small cars only as it’s very narrow and difficult to manoeuvre. It’s not quite suitable for the elderly and yet the furnishing style seems targeted at an older age group. Overall it’s pleasant enough but pricy for what you get. It has potential but is in need of a refresh.

Happy family time
Very good location, cute property, may be a little too many fake flower decorations , but overall plaisant. One of the beds was on the small side, but the younger couple made do with it. We had a good family weekend.

Not for release but some comments
Property well located and well kept. Internet connection could be helpful (or if available I could not get it). Require some extra blankets since the nights are cold Driveway too narrow for cars and front gate access to property is not well designed

Liked: Cleanliness
Dust filled otherwise nice
The house was lovely, full of character. But cleanliness is a negative, the house is tidy but full of dust. My partner and I, had blocked noses and itchy eyes due to the amount of dust collected within the house. The house photos are also very deceiving, the house itself is actually quite small which includes the sun room.

complete wate of money
there is no way this place is 5 star, the photos on this siter make it look massive and it is tiny, it says it sleeps 6 ppl, there is no way 6 ppl could possibly even stand in this place, i slept on the sofa and it was sooo uncomfortable i pulled my back out and am now getting physio done, the place was clean when we arrived but the curtains are all grey and ragged it looks like some one has hand cut them, would not stay here again, i have stayed at much nicer places for cheaper.

A Cute Cottage!
This was a cute and cosy cottage in a nice, quiet location. It was a short walk to the centre of town, with good cafes, pubs and shops. The property was functional, warm and comfortable. I would stay here again!

Ducks and Pastels
Home is well equipped for you to self cater ie. pots and pans etc. BBQ is small, good for meat but not enough space for the extras, potato, mushrooms, eggs. There are several seating area options. A pleasant outdoor setting if the weather is good. Short walk to the main shopping area and good base to explore Southern Highlands.

lovely little cottage in bowral
we stayed for 2 nites in august. very close to the bradman oval so great walks for the dogs. the house is set up well for 2 couples. only down side, bring your own wine glasses as the ones supplied are a little small, and not a full selection of cooking fry pans, so if planning on cooking up a big breakfast, take your won fry pan... gardens lovely, can be difficult getting out of the driveway however if u r not good at reversing..

Average cottage
Quite a cluttered and dated cottage and a fair distance from the main street of Bowral. Extremely tricky driveway to back out of, and banging electricity box door kept us awake all night as did the rattling windows.

We had such a great time!
We rented this property to attend the Bowral home and garden show for 2 nights. The property was very clean and well stocked with all we needed for a relaxing time away. The highlights were the magnificent front gardens, and the veranda at the front where we enjoyed dinner and a few glasses of wine at the end of each day. We would certainly stay here again when in Bowral. It was really enjoyable and in a great location!

Gorgeous but dated
Hi, the cottage and gardens are spectacular on the outside. However, I have to say the decor on the inside wasn't to my taste it is faded and dated chintz, the bed was as hard as a rock. It was sad also that there is no working fireplace as that is one of the indulgences I generally look forward to in the Southern Highlands. However, all that said I did have a very comfortable stay and it is brilliantly located in Bowral a nice quiet street, and a park across the road - perfect. The glass conservatory is lovely but once again the furniture worked against it. Also if you are taking any wifi none of the powerpoints allowing you to charge anything without the plug. I always take one with me just in case. The only warning I would give to anyone is be careful about whether you drive right up to the cottage as I did but then I found backing out on a winding driveway with shrubbery either side a huge challenge. In the end I chose not to. Also not a place for those with a dust allergy as there are a heap of dried flower arrangements every where the second day I woke up with my dust allergy fully activated. I have to say though Dave dog gave it 10 paws as he loved doing the lap of the house indoors and out. It was great to have a house so secure for dogs with a gate on the veranda and a gate at the drive way.
