"This is a beautiful quiet cottage finished to a high standard with everything you need for a chilled relaxing holiday.Communication with Ray and Julie was great and the pool was an amazing addition to the cottage.The location is perfect for walking Dovedale 30 mins, Tissington trail 20 mins and the Old Dog Pub which was very welcoming 10 minutes walk.Cannot fault the whole package and would not hesitate to revisit in the future."

We were very pleased with the little extras that the owners have available like tea & coffee. 40 mins from Alton Towers was very handy with a Tesco enroute so we could get any bits we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again in the future when in the area. "

"Easy communication and check in, brand new and lovely and clean. Parking, comfy bed and all the things we needed in the kitchen to cook and self cater (apart from tea towels). Exactly what we needed as a place to base ourselves."

"It was okay just a few constructive comments, 1 no toilet paper in Brothers toilet, 2 Coffee, Sugar, Tea tins need refilling 3 , Window Sills could have done with a clean apart from these items all was ok and the Host was very pleasant"

"I was visitng friends so booked this hotel for a reasonable price. It was tired looking but clean, and comfortable. The hotel was so accommodating to me being Vegan and were happy for my friend to join me in the lounge/ communal area for drinks. The saff were 10/10. It was very cold and the heating appeared to be broken but the staff appeared to be working really hard to get round this. "
