The Refuge on Brant Lake! Adventure, comfort and tranquility in one. A cottage of delight for all seasons!
Paddle boarding, hiking, swimming, kayaking all options! A short car ride away from Gore Mountain and Lake George. The cottage borders a snowmobile trail. A few miles from Dynamite Hill for tubing and sledding.
We have it all! Your wellcation awaits..
Our cottage will offer comfort for individuals, couples or families looking for a getaway in the beautiful Adirondacks.
The space
Our cottage sleeps 6 very comfortably! Our cottage is a one bedroom with spacious loft that sleeps two. The bedroom has a Queen bed. The loft sleeps 2, two twin beds. Our living room has a beautiful new cozy sofa sleeper that sleeps two comfortably. One bathroom, full kitchen supplied with coffee maker, tea kettle, dishes, cups, pots, pans and utensils. For summer fun our guests will have access to the dock for paddle boarding and kayaking. You will also find games, good reads and two yoga mats for your leisure during your stay.

We had enjoyable stay at the refuge.
The Refuge cottage is cozy and well maintained. With a great area outside with a nice fireplace to have fires at night, a charming porch to sit on and enjoy the lake view or have meals. Ideal place for a couple as there is only one bedroom and a loft with two single beds. Loft has a solidly built ladder to climb up to the loft. We were three women in our 60s a little challenging dealing with the climb up to the loft. That’s on us for not reading the description more carefully. Everything worked out fine. There is a love seat pull out bed we could have used. We had a lovely four night stay. Neighbor Travis couldn’t have been more helpful when Kim the owner promptly contacted him re a fuse problem. Also let us use his kayak as there were only two there and three of us .

I would highly recommend the refuge! The experience exceeded my expectations. It is a really clean and well maintained cottage. The lake access is awesome, and the porch is really relaxing to sit out in the sun. Thank you to the host!

Lake Getaway
We loved our 3 night stay in the cottage! It was a last minute decision to get away and we were beyond lucky to find the cottage available. It is not only so comfortable and well decorated, it is also well stocked with everything we could have wanted for meals and fun nights in! (We loved playing Headbands on the front porch!!) We used the kayaks, paddleboards and swimming dock daily and thought the lilypads and peaceful lake offered a gorgeous view. It was rainy two nights of our stay but on our rain free night we made lots of memories sitting around the beautiful firepit. The Tops in Chestertown had a wide selection of food and I bought a really nice bottle of wine at the nearby liquor store. While we were staying at the cottage, we booked a trip on Revolution Rail, went tubing on the Hudson River and explored Natural Stone Bridges and Caves park. I recommend all of these places! It was nice that Lake George was only a short drive away and after we checked out, we were happy to spend the day exploring the village. When we left, my kids (ages 13, 11 and 9) all asked to visit again! Thank you for a great getaway!! *My only suggestion would be to add a few dish towels for drying dishes.

Great lake house
We had a great summer long weekend here. Kids and adults loved the paddle boards and kayaks for lake fun and the screened in porch for meals. It is a lovely spot and the place had everything we needed. Would love to come back - thank you!!

This cottage is so adorable, comfortable and clean. Brant Lk is a beautiful quiet place. If you’re looking to relax this is the spot. Only a few minutes away from Lk George and other attractions. Would definitely recommend
