The resort has a lot of character, a historical gem. The staff is courteous and professional. It is pricy but you get what you pay for and a view that can not be beat!

For $700/night the place is way too expensive for what you get. The prices at the small stores around the place are such a ripoff even the staff was surprised when they rang things up. The place is nowhere clean enough, and the food was sub par. It could have been way better if they didn't milk you on everything.

Hotel is beautiful. The room was big and very clean. Main dining room was a little disappointing. The food was average so it was very overpriced. I expected the food presentation to be special and it was not. We ordered sides for the table and they came out cold on the inside. Service was spot on they did an amazing job. I would give the food in the main dinning room 7.4 out of 10.seemed like it was all pre maid food and just heated up. We had planned on going to the main dinning room for both nights but changed our plans to just that first night. Paul Donahue

I am extremely disappointed with my stay and feel compelled to share my concerns. My primary issue is how the resort relentlessly charges guests for every minor detail. This establishment epitomizes price gouging. Not only is the nightly rate high for a 3 star property, but there is also a daily resort fee of $45.00, along with an overnight parking fee of $35.00 ($25.00 for self-parking, which is simply unreasonable when hauling luggage in frigid weather). The valet requested my cell number upon arrival, indicating it was for convenience in vehicle retrieval. Instead, it was used to send unsolicited tip requests, even after I had already tipped ($5.00 each time). A standard cup of coffee in a paper cup costing $7.00 is unacceptable! The average price for an adult beverage is $20.00 plus a tip, and the food prices at the restaurant are outrageous. Furthermore, I experienced an unsettling incident at 10:15 p.m. when hotel security knocked on my door due to a supposed noise complaint. I was stunned; there was no noise coming from our room. We had come to attend a memorial and were exhausted by the end of the day. We were lying in bed, and even the TV was at a low volume. When I explained this to security and invited him to check our room, he responded with an unacceptable attitude, stating, “The walls are thin!" It was a great place to stay on my wife and I 40th anniversary. The only issue that I have was the condition of the pillows. They where too soft and lumpy at places.

Dirt poor quality of room , food its no good, asked housekeeping in morning for trash bags and she come in the evening, no microwave no small fridge poor quality in general for the price $900 night

Location is not ideal, about 45 minutes away from any shopping, additional dining. Beautiful hotel, but older and in need of some maintenance and upgrades. Bathroom marble counter had brown stains. Staff was wonderful and friendly. Security helped with jumper cables when truck would start. Food was good but very expensive. The Cave was so fun. Overall nice getaway.

A fun spot for a stay with wife and kids to visit Santa’s Village during the Christmas season. Very festive atmosphere. The entrance and lobby are beautiful. The rooms are nice. Not the greatest ever but it’s an old historic hotel so it was pretty much what I was expecting. One of the beds in our room had multiple long strands of hair on it, and a small bug flew out from under a pillow we picked up from that same bed. The radiator in our room was hissing/leaking very small drips of water on the carpeted floor underneath it at one point. I called the front desk, but no one ever showed up. The hissing/leaking stopped anyways after 20-30 minutes so it ended up not being a huge deal, just thought it was strange no one even checked on it. Overall it was nice and we’ll be back again for the atmosphere (and my kids for the pool)
