As far as southern Utah ski excursions go, this dog-friendly Brian Head vacation rental is a the kind of place you'll want to stay at year after year. Access to Navajo is easy peasy (a mere 50-foot walk to the slopes and the new high-speed quad lift), a wood-burning fireplace, and cozy sleeping nooks, this condo is certainly bookmark-worthy.

The open yet woody feel of the living room gives way to comfy sleeping quarters where sweet dreams are sure to be had. As you enter into the welcoming kitchen and living room space, you'll find plenty of seating, including bench by the wood-burning fireplace. In warmer months, the sliding glass door to the deck may end up being open often, letting in the fresh air. A flatscreen TV with DVD sits above the fireplace, which is a perfect setup for movie night in. WiFi access is also available.

While the kitchen is compact, it includes granite countertops and all the major appliances and tools, even barstool seating, to fix fabulous meals for your family. Up to seven guests will be accommodated in this Utah vacation lodge. The main bedroom holds a spacious king-size bed, TV with DVD, and even a private stacked washer/dryer set behind a sound-dampening closet. Up in the loft, you'll find a delightful space with a solo full-size bed and a super comfy nook with a twin-over-full bunk set. Kids or old pals will like staying up late chatting and giggling in this room. The third TV with a DVD player and VCR, as well as games and toys, is also stored here. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination for ease in helping children wash up for dinner. If you bring your dog, you could even give them a light rinse here after a day outside (just remember to encourage them to shake off behind the sliding glass door). Take your family on a relaxing, nature-filled trip to this delightful Brian Head resort and Southern Utah vacation rental!

it’s such a great property and was very cozy! We all had a great time, but the bedsheets upstairs weren’t changed since it had someone’s hair all over it when we got there. There was also hair all over the shower, but the property manager communicated well about having someone come and clean the place. Overall, it was a great place!

Perfect spot
Great property. Unit is right in front. We walked to Navajo. It is a steep driveway and you will need chains or 4 wheel drive. It's just like the pictures but better, except for the stairs to the loft. 2 of us fell. It was scary!! But once we got the hang of going down sideways and holding on tight we were great. Definitely want to stay there again!! 😃

DO NOT STAY HERE-
We arrived after an 8.5 hour drive with two very young children. We were exhausted, hungry, and tired. We arrived to an oddly dirty condo-to the point where we thought perhaps it was overlooked. My 3 y.o. was SO tired that I carried her into the condo to put her down straight away in the bed, pulled the sheets back, and low and behold the bed was FULL of hair! And the sheet was SO old it was thin and had pilling all over it. Went to the second large bed to lay her down, and there were candy wrappers on the floor, and it just went on and on. There were USED, chewed, toothpicks on the bathroom floor, and a USED glass and small plate on the night stand next to the bed. We were just speechless and started to feel truly concerned as this was in end of March/April 2021 during COVID. There was NO contact notebook with emergency info, etc. I found a number in the kitchen and called straightway only to be put on hold fro about 15 minutes (no joke). It was now after 7:30 pm and my 3 and 10 year olds had not eaten. Vacasa eventually said they were sending a cleaning crew out ASAP, which was good, but it forced us to have to vacate the premises in the freezing snow with no where to go. We were told they would be reimbursing us for our ENTIRE stay due to the severity of the situation. We ended up sitting in & out of the lobby at the Best Western, buying dinner at the only place in town available, and getting our children to bed after 11 pm. It was absolutely unacceptable. Even the very nice cleaning team who showed up AGREED and were disgusted by the place. They fully supported us. It is now the middle of April and we have yet to see a reimbursement. Not only do they owe us for this disgusting atrocity, but we were forced to buy dinner out, and spend an entire morning washing and boiling water to sanitize the dishes/kitchen and whole place. Trying to post the photos for all to see of the beds, toothpicks on the floor, used glass and paste next to the bed, and candy wrappers on the floor, but unfortunately I don't see how to attach these photos. 63867805972__A6A1CF02-E37D-49B4-BE5A-EB105CA37E47.jpg 63867813558__8506E377-86D9-4C8A-8DD2-247A47F0F7FF.jpg 63868589226__03DF2207-D7BE-4F61-A9C5-F721E2BAA86A.jpg IMG_2259.PNG IMG_2317.jpg

“Rustic” isn’t a word for DIRTY!
Horrible, filthy cabin, never cleaned, dirty towels left behind in bathroom and linens (as in used and never cleaned). Cobwebs cover the majority of the cabin including vents and ceiling. Housekeeping wouldn’t (not couldn’t, but wouldn’t) because they were “too busy.” I’ll never book through you or Vacasa again. Customer service was just as bad as the cabin.

Beware the stairs!
First, the good: The place is quite clean and well stocked even if it is a bit of a challenge to understand the parking instructions and finding the actual unit. However, it is quaint (in a good way) and cozy. There’s a nice television if you need and the furniture is comfortable. The kitchen is super well stocked and I can’t see anyone needing more than what is provided. I could see this being a great candidate for a long term rental EXCEPT: Now the bad: There were four demerits, the first of which is the most egregious of which are the “murder stairs” that go to a loft presumably for children. I was having trouble sleeping so I went to the loft in the middle of the night and when I got up to use the restroom I fell down the stairs and tore the skin open on my arm and finger. To say they are safety hazard doesn’t even begin to describe them. It would better if they were an actual ladder as I wouldn’t have tried to navigate them as stairs in the middle of the night. I cannot express enough how these need to be addressed. Second: the walls in this complex seem to be paper thin. I could hear the conversation in the apartment next door. The actual complex is VERY quiet and the neighbors weren’t yelling or animated but I could still hear them. Third: The washer and dryer were problematic in that it literally took over an hour to dry a handful of clothes and the washer ruined a couple of my t-shirts with bleach stains. However in fairness I think that perhaps whoever used the washer before us may have bleached a load of laundry and perhaps I got residual stains from that. Lastly, the bed in the master bedroom was uneven (?). I don’t know any other way too describe it. I think maybe the mattress slipped into the frame of the bed? It’s part of why I got up in the middle of the night. The mattress itself was quite comfortable and the bedroom is very nice and welcoming. As harsh as this review may sound, it really is a nice property. Again, the complex as a whole is very nice and quiet even if the walls are thin. I’m sure the mattress can be fixed if it isn’t already. The main issue is the stairs. If nobody needs the loft, this is great property pound for pound..

great property, make sure you read reviews
This property was great in every way, but do make sure you read the reviews. As people say, there ARE a lot of steps to the condo, and the loft steps ARE very steep and a fall hazard. All of this is plainly spelled out, so if you do your due diligence and know what you are getting, you won't be disappointed. Great location, everything you need in the kitchen and bath, beautiful grounds. It is "rustic", again as advertised. But lacking nothing.

Good place but parking a big issue
The driveway is frozen over with ice, 4x4 or chains required all the time even when all other roads are dry and there is no snow on the ground on any other roads. We parked 1/4 mile away at Town Hall and walked but the walkway was slippery for the kids. Would not recommend for toddlers or elderly. Paid for cleaning and many extra fees but you are required to remove all trash and clean, and put away the dishes. They ask you start a load of laundry on the way out as well. All said, the location was perfect so it was worth the hassles. The property manager was helpful and readily available by phone. He told us where to park at Town Hall without getting towed.

Great place for families!
This place was pure awesome. Fully stocked with just about everything you need (could use a better set of tongs and a pizza cutter). We have three young kids and they loved the sleeping accommodations and bunk beds. There are also a lot of toys. The stairs to the loft are steep but as long as you’re careful you’ll be fine. In the winter you NEED 4WD or chains to get up the drive. We laughed at people all week who tried to make it without and couldn’t. This condo is ON the mountain at Navajo. It’s on the “you’re ready” run. From the front door to being fully strapped in and riding is less than five minutes. Great place. We loved it and will be back.

Beautiful Place but use caution
The condo at Snowshoe was beautiful, the amenities were great and the location was perfect. But with all the benefits, be sure to use caution. The loft where the bunk beds are located has a staircase that leads to it that has smaller than normal and steeper than normal steps. The carpet is also slightly worn. This leads to a situation that can cause slipping and falling on the steps. Both my daughters, who are very agile, slipped and fell down the stairs and my wife slipped and fell on her tush even after seeing my girls fall. The unusual size and steepness makes it very easy for people to fall even if they are aware because going down stairs isn't something you think about too often. So if you are renting, and the place is very nice, just be careful on the stairs down from the loft so your vacation isn't ruined by an unfortunate fall.

Nice place, close to the slopes
Loved the dog-friendly feature. Very close to the slopes, definitely ski-in-out, but on the Navajo side so you have to take two lifts to get to the other, bigger mountain. The apartment is nice and cozy, but very drafty. There's no central heat, but it has three heaters that do the trick and the fireplace works fine. So, you won't be cold, but you'll need to throw a blanket over you in the living room to avoid the drafts of cold. Upstairs loft gets very hot. The boot/ski entry room is wonderful, but bring your boots inside and keep them away from to doors or they will be freezing in the am. The kitchen is cramped and dated and kind of worn out, but there's lots of cook ware and utensils. Very little hot water, so don't run the shower at full blast and keep 'em short. I'd rent it again at that price.

Nice location some rough spots though.
We loved the location and the layout of the house was cool. But a couple of things kinda sucked. #1 the water heater only lasted like 10 mins. So cold shower is gonna happen if there is more then 2 people staying here. #2 BBQ was so small I could only get 4 hamburger pattys on the grill at a time. #3 the beds were hard as rocks. I mean I don't want to complain cuz we still had a great time in Brian head. But if you can't sleep cuz the bed is to hard that makes for a rough night. Once again if you can rough it, it's cool. But if you need hot water and soft beds I would keep looking.
