"The owner seemed to have concentrated on remodeling the inside and haven't completed the outside. This property is not safe for kids as the stair railing posts are too wide apart where a child could fall from the upstairs to the tile floor below. Many kitchen features did not work: oven, dishwasher, built-in ice maker, trash compactor. Wine cooler was frozen up with temperature set too low. "The place was very nice and clean. This is a very spacious and beautiful home, in a quiet neighborhood and close to several restaurants. . Beds were nice and comfortable. I’d recommend getting a small dresser in rooms, but this is just a preference. I like to unpack fully if I’m going to be staying for a few days. Other than that, this would be a great place to stay. "

"Nice cozy place with good amenities like hot tub, small firepit, creek access for good fishing and comfortable furnishings inside the house. Our only small let down, if you can even call it that, was that the location was not as secluded as we thought. It's pretty close to town and the other cabins on the property are pretty close by which makes it feel not as secluded as we hoped for. Overall, I would say 8.5 out of 10 rating though. Thanks."

"It was a lovely home located in a nicely manicured and quiet neighborhood. The interior was spacious, comfortable, attractive and clean. It provided plenty of seating for all 10 guests in the dinning areas as well as in the gathering rooms. I would easily and happily recommend or revisit the location. "

"We had a great stay at Captain's Cabin. We were looking for a place on Sabine Lake that had great access to our favorite fishing spots and Captain's Cabin suited our needs perfectly. The house and yard were very clean and well appointed. There was ample room for parking and the area is safe and extremely quiet. David, the property owner ,was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend Captain's Cabin to anyone. "

"Our family enjoyed our stay at Cherrelle’s place. Everything was just as described and exactly like the pictures. Cherrelle was very kind and also very responsive and attentive. The location of this property is perfect. We were within minutes of anything and everything. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying with Cherrelle again on our return to this area."

"The house was lovely, the yard needed mowing badly. Was disappointed the yard was not fenced. We thought a pet friendly property would have a fenced yard. The neighborhood was awful. We tried to not go out at night. Neighbors had large groups of people outside almost all the time they played loud vulgar music. The yard had little cockle burrs bad. They got into our little 6 pound senior dogs fur so bad we had to take him to the animal er to get them out on Saturday."
