"Good layover location. Communication was excellent as we were commuting between Sydney and Brisbane and arrived late. Lake water was warm, it was a shame the kids couldnt experience the water park as they were up early but park doesnt open until 10am. Very little food options in area, definitely recommend bringing food for breakfast."

The dog loved running around outside under our management and there’s a fenced in courtyard with bbq and high table/chairs. Great spot for fishing as we saw plenty of fish."

"Simon and Lin were excellent hosts. Simon was there to greet us and hand over the keys. Everything about the property was spot-on. Kitchen was more than well equipped. I would certainly return to the same property if I were to return to Port Macquarie. Simon even allowed an extended check-out. Excellent."

"This was our first tiime renting a holiday house. The house was very homely and comfortable. We have family in Port Macquarie and stay often although this was the first time we needed accomodation. There was food left in the cupboards and fridge, assuming from previous renters which we didn't use, and have left where it was when we left, it seemed a bit weird. "We had a beautiful week surrounded by gorgeous countryside and mountains. The house was very comfortable for our family of 5 with the bonus of a clean beautiful pool to swim in. "This was my second stay at the Hideout which is located near Wauchope and near walking trails in state forests. The house was immaculate and I received a warm welcome from the owners. Of particular mention is the wonderful down quilt on the bed. My little dog wandered around the grounds safely and enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the world around him."
