"This is basically a 'pub with rooms'. But the rooms are exceptionally nice. Lovely big bed without the join down the middle (you know what I mean - two singles bolted together...), comfy chairs and a lovely soft carpet (I said it was the little things). But while I'm on the subject, proper mugs, proper glasses (not plastic cups), and decent biscuits (not the standard ones that all hotels seem to have). Food in the restaurant? Pub grub - but very well cooked. Good wine list too. All in all, a very nice place to stay, I'd be happy to go back."
