A beach cabin vibe is the feel of this home with amazing views and a tranquil setting that will provide you with the relaxing vacation you need. The spectacular Oregon Coast is the focal point of the entire home. It’s the perfect place to rest and recharge after your day of outdoor adventures. Or spend your time lounging on the 270° wraparound deck with the overhead solar lighting which creates the perfect setting for that evening dip in the hot tub. The bubbly hot waters of the tub perched on the bluff set the stage for fabulous morning, afternoon or sunset ocean vistas.
The entire beach cottage is built of Western Incense Cedar which gives a calming feel to the interior of the home. The living room has sliding glass doors which open directly on to the deck with an open two story vaulted ceiling with full height windows overlooking miles of ocean. The loft above, also enjoys the same wonderful views, while the surf below lulls you into a state of peace and wholesome well-being.
This magical retreat has all the basics you need for your stay. The kitchen is fully stocked for preparing delicious meals. You can grill outside on the deck with the gas BBQ. The living room has a flatscreen Smart TV with DVD player. There is a DVD collection of over 300 DVDs. Classic, family, comedy, and action selections plus family games that will entertain all ages.
There are two bedrooms downstairs. Each bedroom has a queen bed, individual reading lamps, and a flatscreen Smart TV. The downstairs hall bathroom has a full tub/shower with detachable showerhead and a wall-mounted hairdryer.
The upstairs loft has a sitting room with loveseat, table, and two chairs with a queen bed, individual reading lights and privacy curtain. The second bathroom is upstairs adjoining the loft. This bathroom has two rooms. The shower and toilet are separate from the vanity sink and dressing area with wall-mounted hairdryer. The cottage sleeps a maximum of six people.
At Beach Haven, you are at a quiet oasis while only 4 miles from the center of Brookings. The cottage is located high on a secluded inlet, which protects it from the stronger winds of Harris Beach, allowing for unique tide pools and exploration of shells, clamming and rock hunting at the McVay Rock Beach just a short walk away.
Activities abound. You can shop, fish, golf, hike, bike, and explore many nearby sites. 100 year-old azaleas bloom throughout Brookings‘ Azalea Park, just over the bridge that crosses the Chetco, one of Oregon’s wild and scenic rivers. Charter fishing excursions are available at the Port of Brookings, an active fishing port. At Loeb State Park you can swim, tube on the river, picnic, or hike through ancient redwood trails.
