FURNISHED FOR TRAVELERS!
Your enchantingly delightful apartment has a very comfortable queen bed, a day-bed/sofa, two swivel 'club chairs' with soft rounded curves to optimize comfort, and a rocking chair. You'll also have a large table and a small desk available if needed for work, plus excellent Wi-Fi.
KITCHENETTE
The suite has a a mini-refrigerator, a toaster and a microwave oven, along with a pour-over coffee making system. A hot plate is available to warm up soup, cook eggs and such - but no aromatic foods please like bacon or fish. That is because the kitchenette does not have an exhaust for vent for cooking odors.
COFFE, TEAS & MORE
The cupboards are stocked with great coffee and a large selection of top quality teas, plus makings for hot cocoa and hot cereals, and a couple of individually sized cold cereals. A few fun snack treats are also provided, along with juices, small bottled waters, half-n-half milkette creamers for cereal & coffee, and more!
DINING AREAS
The unit has a big table for meals - see pictures. There is also an outdoor dining area available and a picnic table with ocean views for your use.
BATHROOM & SHOWER
Your private bathroom features a large tiled shower with endless hot water, plus loads of extra towels and a few travel necessities such as toothpaste, dental floss, shaving cream & safety razors. (Your hosts provide a few extra blankets too!)
ROBES & SLIPPERS
When you get up in the morning put on one of the freshly laundered robes with slippers provided by your hosts and relax into your day.
CONNECT WITH NATURE
There is excellent Wi-Fi but no TV, so in the morning plan to relax, read or take your coffee out to sit in one of the comfortable outdoor seating areas and enjoy the breathtaking views. And in the evening take a glass of wine, or a bottle to share, and watch from the well-appointed central "Quiet Room", or from outside, as the sun sets below the horizon of the truly majestic Pacific Ocean.
VIEWS
The views from the front and rear courtyards, and from the "Quiet Room", include seascapes with rocky outcroppings and sandy beaches all along the coast. You'll also have the ever-changing horizon where the Pacific Ocean meets the sky! There is also a 'peek ocean view' from inside your suite so you can watch as the sunset twilight takes over the ocean!
BEACHES, RIVERS & REDWOODS
Harris Beach State Park is home to one of the best ocean beaches on the Oregon coast. And it is just a short walk from the property , or a two minute drive to beach-level parking. Its sandy beaches, tidepools and rugged coastline make Harris Beach delightful to explore! The magnificent driftwood covered beach at the harbor is just five minutes away, and its only a short drive to scenic clean rivers & giant redwoods.
LOCAL ADVENTURES
Your host will send video links with information about nearby areas of interest, including redwood tree parks, scenic points overlooking the ocean, and even a "SECRET BEACH" where you can go adventuring!!
Guest access
Guests have full access to everything in their suite. The front courtyard is fully available at all times and the rear courtyard is open from 9:30 am to sunset every day. Guests also have access to the common area "Quiet Room" from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. And please note that, as in a library, NO TALKING is allowed in the "Quiet Room" because it adjoins two other suites and voices carry. It is also because your right, and the right of our other guests to quietly enjoy their privacy is absolutely respected at all times. Thanks for understanding.
PARKING
*Please park parallel to the white property wall on right side as you pull into the driveway. However, if your vehicle leaks oil or other fluids please park just off the street in the gravel area next in front of the house.

Risks include but are not limited to the following: The property has walls & fences however it is located on a cliff above the ocean with associated hazards. Also, your suite has potentially slippery tiled floors & bathrooms that may be a fall hazard. ABOUT YOUR HOSTS – by Barbara
Patrick & I were (and still are!) grateful & amazed at the good fortune that came our way when we acquired two 'diamond in the rough' coastal properties on the Southern Oregon coast that are right next to each other. They sit side-by-side on just over two cliffside acres overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean.
We did not plan on being BnB hosts - it just sort of happened - but we are glad it did because we are always delighted to share these amazing properties with our guests.
I had recently retired from a job in the medical field and Patrick had sold his large real estate office when, in March of 2019, we found the coastal property we now live in while on a road trip through Southern Oregon.
The house that is now our home had been on the market 5 years as part of an estate sale & it needed a lot of work, but we loved it the moment we saw it. **We made the best offer we could afford and our offer was accepted! The separate guesthouse that came with it became our first BnB.
Then in 2022 our elderly & very kind next-door neighbor, a widower, decided to move to Portland to be with family. His circa 1950 house also needed a lot of work. We were experienced hosts at that point and we knew the location and layout were absolutely perfect for another BnB. **So Patrick worked out a deal with the owner and we bought it. Then we put in granite counter tops, tiled showers, redwood decks, heated floors, bigger windows and much more.
Our objective was to create a magical space where people can come to relax in quiet comfort with lots of privacy & stunning ocean views. It worked out perfectly and now we love sharing these amazing side-by-side properties with our guests!
