"Nice little B&B with great hosts. Stayed for two nights. Room has a fridge which is big enough for quite a few tins/bottles so that was good to have. Decent shower. Brekko was a great fry up. My gf couldn't get up in time for it as it ends at 9am, however the guys gladly provided me with some food for her which we put in a tupperware box for later. Great location as the centre of RH Bay is quite close. There's also a bus stop close by where you can get to Whitby for only £2. Would highly...
"Lovely quaint stop for the night, a characterful period property in a beautiful area.
Fantastic food and service from the staff.
My room was very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep.
Smallish room as expected in a property like this but didn't feel cramped and shower pressure was excellent.
Great walks available from the front door or a short walk away.
Would definitely stay again.

"We were very impressed and made to feel very welcome. Everyone was very helpful and the Landlord Pete went out of his way to help with anything we needed"
"Lovely, quiet and comfortable place for a weekend getaway.
Easy reach of Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Nice local walks, too.
Good pub food and a great breakfast. Staff so friendly and helpful.
Amazing value for money too! "
"Excellent hotel in a beautiful setting.
All the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Room was huge, immaculately clean and well furnished.
Bar meal was excellent (as was the manager on duty) and breakfast was all freshly cooked.
All round great value. "

"The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The location of The Royal Hotel was perfect, and although parts of the hotel were being renovated, there was no obvious disruption for the guests."
"Lovely hotel, the only criticism for me was the bed was a little hard for my liking and the base was bigger than the matress and knocked myself a few times but other than that everything was excellent and the staff werr lovely and very helpful, if up that way again would definitely stay there again 😊 "

"We had an executive room, which was a fantastic size. There was a lounge area, a good size desk, bathroom had a bath with a powerful shower and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was a minibar in the room, an ironing board and iron and reasonable wardrobe space if you were staying for any period of time.
We parked the car in the car park which had enough spaces, even on a weekend although the spaces were tiny and hard to get in and out the car.
The restaurant was quiet (no music or ambiance) but the food was delicious.
The hotel had a gym which looked substantial - unfortunately on this occasion we didn't have time to utilize this service.
Highly recommended and would stay again. "

"The service provided by the local team at Gisborough Hall was of the highest order, but more important was the fact that staff were always cheerful and displayed a positive demeanour which is so sadly lacking in many hotels and restaurants in this country today. We felt like we were visiting family during our stay and will look forward to returning."
"Unfortunately not a perfect stay which was very disappointing with it being my husband’s birthday, booked through Hotels.com so not allowed to use the pool unless we paid £45 each, I have never heard of this before. The rooms are very nice but paying £5 for nut or crisps is ridiculous. The breakfast was very underwhelming with minimal choice, awful cold poached eggs, cold plates, weak coffee, all left me feeling very sick! Not worth £291 for one night. "
