"This is a quirky older hotel that has been modernised in places. The room where we had breakfast was a magnificent wood panelled room with a lovely view. The rooms at the back of the hotel had lovely views too. We had dinner in the bar and the food was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful two night stay"

The service in the restaurant was of a high standard, the tables are nicely spaced and the standard of cleanliness was exemplary. We were aware that dogs were catered for and those we encountered during our stay were very well behaved! "

"It’s a lovely, quaint place. It was quite remote but that’s just the way we like it. The rooms were immaculate, extremely modern and tastefully decorated. A traditional style wee bar which added to our experience. The food was great: staff were superb being both friendly and attentive. I will return when in the Borders. Ps the locals who were in the pub added to a great atmosphere. Wonderful stay."
