Very nice hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortably furnished, the beds being particularly comfortable. It was at the back with french windows opening on to a small balcony overlooking the Japanese garden in the hotel courtyard. The outdated decor, however, was on the shabby side, so hope some redecorating is planned, as this is all that has stopped me giving it 5 stars. I would definitely stay here again The hotel lounge and bar was a very pleasant relaxing space after long days wandering around this lovely city. It also looks on to the Courtyard, which is accessible and must be lovely in summer.

Second visit to Golden Tulip , would certainly come again. Easy walking into centre and comfortable beds after a days sightseeing. Great that you can exchange room service for free drinks in the bar but you can still request any extras you need. Hotel parking secure but rather expensive.

Beautiful hotel with lovely staff. Breakfast was good for the price. Really enjoyed my time here. Only thing that could be said is that there was no efficient air con, so the room got quite warm. Thank you for a lovely stay

Overall it was an acceptable place. However, the room allocated to me felt like a storage bedroom with parts of a bedframe left in the room and many chairs all stored around a table. I thought I was getting a double bed but it was two single beds pushed together and they both kept coming apart when I slept on the bed. When I was leaving, the other rooms on the same floor had the doors open. These rooms looked like decent hotel rooms. I was put in the worst room on that floor in comparison to these other rooms.

This hotel is not 4 star. Carpets held together with mismatched and worn carpet tiles. Decor shabby. Weathered water feature with limescaled glass. Breakfast was disappointing. Fruit salad was basically just chopped apple with a sprinkle of melon. The "hot" items were cold, fatty and tasteless. The room was probably an old conference room with high windows and dated decor. The hotel is not central and away from the town atmosphere. We paid for parking and didn't receive a permit sticker because our receptionist was rude and abrupt. Intending to return to Bruges for Christmas markets and will stay in a confirmed 4 star in town not this offering of a "4" star.

The hotel itself is ok. They claim to be a few blocks from the City Center but it's quite a walk. Good breakfast was included.

Places you need to avoid in Brugge
The hotel conditions had nothing to do wirh what is shown in the pictures.. they said you have parking and the swimming pool included but we payed 33€/night the parking and the swimming pool didn’t work and was also not included in the room price..they suggested to use the hamam for 30€/person…Also the room was not clean and the bed was terrible..well the beds..because we ordered a couple room but they had put together two single beds which moved and separated everytime we wanted to sleep in the middle of the bed as a couple..

The hotel is in a nice location, situated on one of the major canals, slightly outside of the busy center square. Very quiet yet easy walk to all of the sites and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent. Rooms were simple but clean.
