Rustic Mountain View Cabin
Our quiet partially secluded cabin is located in Buckfield, Me. Buckfield is nestled in the western foothills of Maine. If you are looking for a relaxing quiet getaway this is the place for you! The cabin has a big yard and beautiful Mountain Views and sits on over 90 acres of trails and woods for hiking, biking, ATVing, and more. A great place for hanging by the fire pit at night and looking up at the star lit sky. In the winter it’s a great spot for snowmobiling and cross country skiing. We are relatively close to Sunday River, pleasant Mt, Mt. Abrahams and Lost Valley. All within a 40-45 min drive. If shopping is your thing Freeport is approximately 45 min away and that’s where you’ll find the famous LL Bean store as well as a number of small quaint shops. You will also find shopping and restaurants in nearby Lewiston/Auburn. Portland is also great for shopping. Also, bugs are a part of the Maine woods. We don't see them very often and we do treat the perimeter of the cabin. Just know you may encounter an ant or two and possibly a spider. This cabin is cleaned very well after each use and we have never had an issue with bugs.

Nice, peaceful place and well supplied
This was a nice, peaceful place to stay that had plenty of items supplied for our stay. It's a smaller cabin but it worked for us since it was just the two of us and we were gone most everyday doing different activities and came back to sit by the fire and relax. The refrigerator isn't a full size refrigerator so we were glad we hadn't brought a lot of items that needed refrigerating. We were a little disappointed that it's not actually on a lake like it says because we had brought our kayaks but there are several nice lakes around that are a short distance to get to. All in all, it was a great place and we enjoyed our visit.

Cozy, cute, and quiet.
We chose this site for its rural location and hill top view's and were not disappointed. We arrived to a clean and well supplied cabin on one of the hottest days of the year. Breanda already had the A/C on which was greatly appreciated. We definitely over packed and didnt need even half of what we brought which was mostly things for preparing meals. It was cozy for our family of 4 adults and our 110lb Akita, but we were just fine. Brenda is right on property nextdoor. She kept us informed, brought over firewood before we even arrived and let us check in early as well. One thing we all kept saying is you can tell the host is a mom just by looking around the cabin at all the little details. The coffee station was adored by my son and well used by him.😆 Although we didn't have any bug issue Brenda brought us over bug spray and afterbite just in case. ❤️ We are definitely looking at returning in the fall. Thank you for a hassle free getaway!

Perfect getaway in a true tiny house
Prior reviewers got it right - close enough and with the feel of remote, and with all the comforts and conveniences ready. Looking forward to returning and experiencing other seasons too.

Quiet with beautiful view
This place is so cute and it was perfect for two of us and our dog. It rained while we were there so we didn’t walk down to the pond but the views were still beautiful. The couch is easy to transition into the sleeper bed and back to couch. The host left little notes everywhere with information which was cute and helpful. It was a peaceful weekend away and we would definitely go back!

Mountain View Cabin
Had a great stay at this cabin. It was close enough to shopping that we were able to get the things that we needed for our trip, but also far enough that we were able to enjoy the quiet and peace. This cabin has everything you could possibly need for a trip. There is even a grill that you can use. We did not realize there was one so we brought our own, but I figured I would mention it so others are aware. The owners are super accommodating and responsive if anything is needed. Overall we had a great trip and would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away.

Cabin was beautiful. Very easy living. We hated to leave. Very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful view of the hills. Sitting on the deck watching a storm come over the hills was spectacular. Brenda answered all communications immediately. Very, very pleasant stay. Would do it again.
