McCauley House C | Relax in Luxurious Finishes

Visit this historic retreat nestled in the heart of Burlington, NC. Our charming 2nd Floor Apartment offers a bright and airy centrally located retreat just 2 miles from I40/85.

The McCauley House was built in 1920 as a single family home. From what we can tell the McCauley Family owned it for nearly 100 years and at some point in time they did a conversion to a 4-plex apartment building. We bought the building in 2022 and have worked hard to restore every room. In this apartment you will find an original fireplace and all of the modern amenities that you would expect to include a King Bed, Fully Stocked Kitchen and Tile Shower. The apartment features High Speed Internet with an access point for ethernet and Smart TV's in both the living room and the bedroom.

The main house has Smart Locks where all tenants will enjoy common space, laundry room and a great front porch seating area - this porch is the best spot in the house for watching storms! All apartments are rented as full units with two entrances/exits for safety and convenience.

Adore this property!

We loved this home so much. Absolutely beautiful, had everything we needed. We came into town to visit our daughter at Elon, and the location is great. Host was so accommodating and even provided a couple of extra barstools so we could host our daughter and her boyfriend for dinner. Very clean, comfortable bed, good shower, all new appliances and furniture. We will absolutely stay here any time it is available.

Blissful Rest

I was delighted with this property. It has Southern charm, especially the king size four poster bed, and every modern convenience to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchen was particularly impressive with a large farm sink, very attractive appliances, cookware, dinnerware, etc., everything matching and tasteful. The off-street parking and clear directions make check-in very easy. These accommodations are an excellent value for the cost.

Very clean and well appointed apartment with everything I needed. Easy but safe security system

The property was very nice. An updated older home with a lot of character. Well furnished with high end appliances and kitchen. Centrally located for my purposes and was able to walk and run in the Burlington Arboretum and city park right from the apartment. A little noisy at night (traffic) but I live in the country and am not accustomed to that. Overall, I highly recommend this property.

Absolutely beautiful !

This apartment is absolutely beautiful! I’m not sure if we were the first people to stay here but it sure seemed like it! It is immaculate, cozy and outstanding with finishes and furniture! No expense spared with this apartment and I imagine the others are just as beautiful! Gayla was an absolute pleasure to rent from! My husband and I spent the weekend visiting from Connecticut and this apartment will be our home away from home any time we are back in Burlington visiting family.
