Enjoyable escape from the city
My wife and I stayed for a 4 day weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were greeted on the driveway by Walter who was extremely friendly. We got to the cabin and had a plate of muffins and a fruit tray in the fridge. The nature trail under Sophie (a large live oak) was great and had a wonderful swing underneath it. The stocked pond was low and it was fun to feed the fish. I do recommend you bring a black light flashlight to use at night if you aren’t staying inside. There are bark scorpions that mostly run and hide but you don’t want to accidentally step on. There is no stove but a charcoal grill and fire pit are there to cook your meals. The hot tub and screened in orchard lovely and the morning visits from the cows were nice as well. We will be looking forward to staying again for our next anniversary.

Walter is an awesome host! His Cottages was quiet, clean and just enough. We arrived to fresh fruit platter in the fridge, a cake stand of baked treats & a spotless environment:). Will definitely book again!

Another Great Weekend
This was our 2nd trip to this property. We absolutely love the chance to get away from the "rat-race". A chance to unplug and enjoy a couples weekend. We had a great time fishing in the pond and just relaxing under the tree. We plan to return again.

Serene escape
The property was so comfortable and peaceful. Walter was a wonderful host, it was such a pleasure visiting with him. The bluebonnets were in bloom, and Sophie, the tree was magnificent. The fruit and pastry trays were delicious. We enjoyed our stay 100%.

Peaceful Escape
We enjoyed our quiet weekend with beautiful wildflowers and scenery. My son enjoyed the stocked pond. The cabin was cute and clean. They provided the sweetest muffins and fresh fruit. What beat it all was the 400 year old live oak. She stole the show. We will return.

Sophia's csbin
Sophia's cabin was the perfect place for us. The location was within driving distance to the antique show. The property offers more than just a place to lay your head. Sophia the oak tree left us in awe with her beauty and the pond was enjoyable. We will definitely rent again.

Awesome get away
This was such a wonderful experience. The cabin was very nice. A great place to escape the hustle & bustle of our daily life and enjoy some unplugged peace and quiet. The pastries and fresh fruit were a welcome surprise. Not sure about the reviewer that had a scorpion apocalypse, we did encounter 1 on the back porch, but hey, you’re in their territory. None in the house and it was easily relocated with a handy fly-swat. The fishing was great and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and we plan to return soon. Highly recommended !!!

Scorpion City
We informed the owner that we would be late arrivals due to our daughters softball game. We got there around 10pm only to be greeted by a dirty home with an enormous amount of dead bugs. We figured because of the time maybe they weren’t able to get the cleaners in there in time. No problem, I grabbed the broom and began to sweep the entire house. While sweeping I became DISGUSTED!! My wife counted over 20 dead scorpions. Once again, no problem. There all dead and this place is in the country. After sweeping them up and throwing them away, we were ready to settle in. NOPE, killed 2 more alive and on the ceiling. At this point we texted the homeowner to the number provided, no response. While waiting we looked at the “Hot tub”, once again NOPE! Overrun by spider webs and who knows what was in that water. We attempted to contact the owner several times, through contact given and on the app, NO RESPONSE!!! We ended up leaving and driving another 45 minutes to the only hotel available. We took a bunch of pictures for proof but could not stay there. Not clean, disgusting and I’m not getting sing at night. We requested a full or partial refund but with the amount of response we have had so far we aren’t expecting much. Will NEVER stay again on this property or any other he manages. Horrible experience!!!!

Great weekend getaway
My wife and I had a great weekend staying in Sophie’s cabin at Still Waters Ranch. The views were amazing with the all the wildflowers in bloom and the 400 year old live oak tree behind the cabin. We really enjoyed fishing in the stocked pond and the location wasn’t too far from Round Top or Brenham. The cabin was very clean and there was even a tray of muffins and fruit for us when we arrived. Our host Mr. Sensat was very friendly and accommodating with anything we needed. We’re even looking forward to making a return trip in the future!

Sophie's Cabin
We (a group of lady friends) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sophie's cabin (Still Waters Ranch B&B) and will definitely come again! The wild flowers were in full bloom, therefore the landscape surrounding the property was simply breathtaking! The lighted path to Sophie the 400 yr old oak was quite impressive as well. The cabin was well appointed, the king size bed extremely comfortable and the muffins, pastries & fresh fruit were a BONUS! Our host was most gracious & easy to contact if we had any questions. I plan to visit again & this time I will bring my husband!
