"We stay in GB/PF area at least once a year and have got the last 15 years. We have never stayed in Townsend and never stayed in a cabin where GSMNP was literally steps away. It was gorgeous! Views were incredible! Drive to GB/PF was about 40 mins. David was so great and responsive. We saw bears, a coyote, birds, squirrels — but BEARS!! Steps to an entrance to Cades Cove (about 7 miles) and multiple trails. The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Had everything we needed. Excellent stay and will consider for future trips as well! "

"This cabin is beautiful. It’s at the end of the drive so a little secluded. We didn’t cook but it seemed to have everything needed if you wanted to. We enjoyed the fall colors from the porches! We didn’t see bear at the property but was told by neighbors that they are seen on the golf course frequently. "

"House was plenty big for our large extended family. The kids really enjoyed the first floor with all of the amenities. Kitchen and living area were spacious allowing great family time. There are a few items that were lacking—esp when traveling with a big group. Not enough towels. Bunk room on 3rd level does not have a railing for the top bunk. We had to move the mattress on the floor. Kitchen pots and pans were very small / not big enough to cook for large groups and most need to be replaced. There were no oven mits and only two kitchen towels one wash cloth. Grills could definitely use a little TLC. The hot tub would not heat over 100, so that was disappointing that we couldn’t enjoy that. Not enough hot water to go around for showering. There was a wasp nest somewhere as many were flying around. We killed several but there were always more coming from somewhere. Overall these small things didn’t compromise us having a great time and loved that this house provided the space for our family to enjoy each others company. I do not think we would stay in Townsend again, but I would recommend this house for others looking to accommodate a large family. The management company was very nice/ responsive to questions pre arrival—Owner, not so much (you can tell the difference)."
