Located at 61 Baker Cemetery Rd., Cadiz, Ky., this home is suitable for many types of occasions.
Just a 1 minute boat ride from famous Prizer Point Marina and a 2 minute drive from The Fishin' Hole Restaurant, Handy Corner Market, and Handy Corner Liquor Store, this home is relatively secluded approximately 200 yards off of Prizer Point Road. Conveniently located, while nestled in a pleasantly wooded lot that slopes gently to the water of Hurricane Bay on Lake Barkley, you will have both privacy and easy and quick access to some of the best attractions on the lake.
!!!SPECIAL NOTE: PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS DROPS LAKE WATER LEVEL AFTER LABOR DAY AND DIRECT WATER ACCESS FROM OUR ON-SITE DOCK MAY OR MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE AFTER THAT DATE UNTIL FOLLOWING SPRING.!!! IN THE EVENT THIS IS THE CASE, WATER ACTIVITIES CAN STILL BE EASILY ACCOMMODATED AT PRIZER POINT MARINA JUST 1 MILE AWAY
There is quick access to the lake, being only about 100 feet away, and a small dock that 2 or 3 boats could tie up to during your stay. PLEASE BE ADVISED THIS IS A PUBLIC LAKE AND THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
This property was purchased in May of 2016 and since that time we have been working diligently to try and assemble a "package" complete with features that we hope will enhance the overall experience for all who honor us in choosing this home as your destination for your occasion, whatever it may be. Great accommodation for our family reunion!
For the second year in a row, we have rented Cool Goose Landing for the weekend and hosted pur family reunion there on Saturday. CHL provides excellent accommodations for such an event. We had guests from 11 months to 95 years of age! The kitchen is a great size and equipped for large groups and there is something to do for everyone! Looking forward to next year.

Perfect for our fall wedding!
We absolutely LOVED Cool Goose Landing from the first time we saw the listing and it was perfect for our small intimate wedding ceremony! Everyone commented about how beautiful the setting was and the back deck, converted garage, and kitchen were perfect for our needs. We had 35 people there for our ceremony, but you could easily have 45/50 people in attendance. The owners are also super helpful!

Awesome family vacation
My family had the best time ever. The house was fantastic with lots of room and activities. The kitchen was definitely the hub of the house. We loved and enjoyed the outside deck. The deck was so big we did t even use all of it. We will definately come back again.

Wedding Venue
If you are looking for a small to medium size venue for a Wedding this is it!! We had 130 guests and the wedding was beautiful! The flow of the layout is magnificent and the amenities are endless. We brought many things we thought we needed in the kitchen and we didn't need anything we brought, it was there. The owners are accommodating as well. You won't regret this booking. We have no regrets!

Everything you need!
Thank you for a great family vacation! This house has everything you would want and need! The outside bar/ grill area felt like we were at our own bar! The ice machine was a huge plus! Both my husband and I are in the hospitality industry and your guys have a five-star plus accommodations! Everyone commented about how comfortable the beds were! Fishing was great! Next time we will look into bringing our boat. Love the grills and the kitchen area. Would highly recommend for any kind of party or corporate gathering plenty of room. We will be back! Thank you! My mom had a wonderful 75 th Birthday!

Girls Weekend at the lake
It is impossible to put into words how much we enjoyed our trip to Cool Goose Landing. From the host, Buddy and Amy, to the house itself, we truly felt at home due to the kindness and accommodations provided. The home has everything you can imagine, and I could spend the rest of my life sitting on the incredible decks. There is so much room inside and out, and our group of 15 had more than enough room for sleeping and hanging out. We rented a boat for the weekend, and our driver was easily able to pull up to the dock. The golf cart made loading and unloading our bags to and from the dock a breeze. We would love to make this an annual trip and hope to bring our families back to Cool Goose Landing. Thank you so much, Buddy and Amy, for opening your beautiful home and making us feel like it was our own!

Expansive home with lots to do indoors
The perfect place to spend a few days with family. There was plenty of activities to do indoors as we vacationed during December. There was a pool table, 2 poker tables, shuffle board table as well as a very large table for everyone (18 of us) to sit and play board games as well as to eat together. The kitchen was very big with plenty of cooking space and an ice machine. Evenings were cozy with 2 fireplaces and plenty of comfy chairs and recliners. The host provided plenty of towels and blankets as well. The outdoor deck was massive with lots of seating; although we did not use it due to the cold weather. We did use one of the three available outdoor grills. The only negative comment is due to our trip being in the off-season, the closest store was closed for the season and we had to drive 20 minutes to buy milk. Also, one bathroom had a finicky lock that had to be jostled to lock and unlock, which may be tricky for kids. Overall, a wonderful place to spend a family vacation. I would like to try this place during the spring or summer.

Good place for a large group
We had a family reunion, and everyone had an enjoyable time. Our favorite parts were: 1. Multi-level deck with sound system and lights 2. Garage/dining room which we used as a game room 3. GREAT kitchen (with large ice maker)!!! We also loved the flexibility of the owners as they worked with our group! The drawbacks that we encountered were sticky kitchen/dining room floors, a lack of cleaning supplies (think overflowing toilet...), a smoke detector with a dead battery (think random, intermittent beeping that sent us on a search), and an outdated first-aid box. Also, the substantial required deposit took a full two weeks after check-out to be returned. Note: We have been told that, unfortunately, this is not something that the owners have control over. We would definitely recommend Goose Creek Landing - especially for large groups. Summertime would be ideal as it is right on the water!

Our Thanksgiving Extravaganza
We rented Cool Goose Landing because we live in small house and didn't have the room to host a big Thanksgiving for our family. This place was amazing. It felt like a resort that we had all to ourselves but it also felt like a home ready to make us comfortable and ready to enjoy our family. Everything was perfect. There is plenty of space. The accomodations were above our expectations. The only warning I can offer to winter guests is.....be sure to bring a snuggly blanket and warm coat because you will definitely want to be out by the fire pits at night. You will want to be outside even if its cold! But when you come in, you will enjoy the fire place. Also, be ready to make family memories playing pool and shuffleboard with family. I have never laughed so hard and enjoyed my adult kids so much. The kitchen is to die for. There is almost 2 of everything including stoves and microwaves. I hope to be scheduling Cool Goose Landing for a wedding in the future. It seems like the perfect place for a wedding. Our host family was very open to any need or question that we might have. This is only my second VRBO rental but all future rentals will have a huge bill to fill in my book.
