The Casal SĂŁo JoĂŁo Cottages is a typical Madeiran stone house located in the west of the Madeira Island in FajĂŁ da Ovelha - Calheta, about 58 km from the airport of Santa Cruz and 42 km from the city of Funchal. This construction is dated from the year of 1930 and composed by 6 independent apartments. The apartment 104 is a duplex equipped, ground floor with kitchenette, dining room and sofa bed and upper floor composed one double bed and bathroom. It's available in the shared social area one jacuzzi with natural water, gym, solarium, barbecue. In a perfect and quiet place with excellent exposure across the sea ideal for yoga, bird watching and astronomy.

It’s recommended to use car so you can explore the various attractions, not only in the locality as well as other area attractions. Nature turism and hiking ("Levadas") are one of the strengths of this region and Fajã da Ovelha is part of many hiking routes. Less than 2 km you will find mini-market or restaurant. The nearest beach is in Paul do Mar, about 8 km away. In the center of Calheta, about 15 km you will find all the facilities and services offered by supermarkets, pharmacys, banks, medical center, traditional shops, restaurants, hairdressers, sandy beach and promenade.

MENSONGE!! Arnaque!! JE RECOMMANDE PAS CE LOGEMENT!! La 1er photo ne correspond PAS DU TOUT Ă  la rĂ©alitĂ©. Cuisine ridicule, pas de poĂȘle, porte de salle de bain cassĂ© bruit attroce pour la fermer et l'ouvrir. Chasse d'eau cassĂ©. Pas de machine a cafĂ©. Machine Ă  laver inutilisable. Salle de sport minable. Studio vraiment petit, on entend les voisins monter l'escalier. Jaccuzzi avec des lezard mort dedans et aucune bulle. Hote pas du tout Ă  l'Ă©coute des rĂ©clamations. Beaucoup trop cher pour la qualite du bien. L'hote ce contente de recevoir l'argent, pas du tout pro. Vous aurez aucune intimitĂ©,

Das Haus zu finden, ist nicht einfach. Auf der Seite von Fe-Wo-direkt.de ist die Beschreibung fast richtig. Ein paar Hundert Meter soll man doch laufen, um das Haus zu finden. Das Haus ist perfekter Ort um Ruhe und Stille zu genießen. Allerdings im Haus sind die MĂ€use. Sie sind zwar harmlos, aber kein Essen auf dem Tisch stehen lassen.Der Vermeter bittet zwar Autos zu mieten, aber was fĂŒr Auto wir gekriegt haben, war echt alt und zu schwach fĂŒr die Straßenn auf Madeira. ZusĂ€tzlich verlangt er vom Flughafen hin und zurĂŒck 80€ bis Funchal, was ziemlich teuer ist.

Bellissima vista, condizione della struttura da migliorare

Casa con bellissima vista in una localitĂ  naturale, tranquilla e immersa nel verde. Gli alloggi sono ben forniti: ci sono gli utensili per cucinare ed Ăš possibile farsi la doccia. Ci sono un po’ di insetti in giro, ma essendo immersi nel verde c’ù da aspettarselo. Nel cottage 104, perĂČ manca la manutenzione. L’area comune non Ăš come descritta e manca di pulizia. Non Ăš stata effettuata alcuna procedura di check in in quanto non ci sono stati chiesti i documenti. D’altro canto, quando abbiamo trovato un topo nel cottage il proprietario ci ha offerto repentinamente un’altra soluzione abitativa, per cui abbiamo apprezzato. Complessivamente tutto ok, ma da migliorare la condizione del servizio.

Beaucoup de choses Ă©crites mais beaucoup moins existantes Ă  l’arrivĂ©e. PropriĂ©taire dĂ©sagrĂ©able, aucune aide, ni rĂ©ponses de ça part quand on le contacte. C’est une personne vraiment pas sĂ©rieuse et qui arnaque les usagĂ©s. Mes mots sont bien proportionnĂ©s. Cependant vu magnifique au rĂ©veil mĂȘme si l’état de l’habitation laisse Ă  dĂ©sirĂ©. Je dĂ©conseille vraiment.

!!!HORROR, Kakerlaken, dreckig, keinerlei Gastfreundschaft!!!

Reine Geldmacherei !!! Überhaupt keine Gastfreundlichkeit !!! Kein VerstĂ€ndnis, kein Entgegenkommen, kein Ernst nehmen !!! Von Vermieter gemietetes Auto keinesfalls dem Preis entsprechend: Super klapprig, Schaltung schwer möglich, nicht mehr ganz funktionsfĂ€hig. Unterkunft nur notdĂŒrftig geputzt, Betten waren nicht frisch (Dreck, Flecken, Haare ĂŒberall). Wir haben nach frischem Bettzeug verlangt und mussten erst einmal mit dem Vermieter diskutieren warum wir denn neues Bettzeug wollen und das dies frisch sei. In der Nacht: Auf dem Tisch, in der SpĂŒle, an der Wand Kakerlaken, die herumgesprungen und sich deutlich wohlgefĂŒhlt haben. Wir haben versucht den Vermieter zu erreichen, um diesem von unseren Problemen zu erzĂ€hlen und eine Lösung zu finden, hier kaum RĂŒckmeldung, Anrufe wurden ignoriert, er könne nicht vorbeikommen da er in Funchal wohnt. Nach nur einer Nacht sind wir abgereist. Die Nacht am Flughafen war erholsamer als dort! Vom Vermieter kam bis zur letzten Minute KEIN VerstĂ€ndnis warum wir gehen wollten. Auf dem Weg zum Flughafen hatte dieser noch provokant erklĂ€rt, dass Kakerlaken auf Madeira normal seien, dass er wĂŒsste dass es in diesem Haus Kakerlaken gibt und wir wurden gefragt, ob wir denn wissen, dass es Tiere in der Natur gibt. Hier wurde noch provokant hinzugefĂŒgt, dass es auf Madeira auch Ratten und andere Tiere gĂ€be. Dem Sohn und dem Vermieter war es sichtlich egal, dass wir abreisen, da diese schon das Geld bekommen hatten.

Pour Ă©valuer cet hĂ©bergement, encore aurait-il fallu y avoir sĂ©journĂ©. En arrivant, nous dĂ©couvrons que le propriĂ©taire ne nous a pas rĂ©servĂ© cette maisonnette mais un "studio" dans une maison collective Ă  l'Ă©tage sans terrasse avec juste une fenĂȘtre dont le volet ne reste pas ouvert ! TrĂšs déçues, nous ne pouvons qu'attribuer une trĂšs mauvaise note sur la propretĂ© et la vĂ©tustĂ© du logement. De plus le propriĂ©taire Monsieur Joao Bento devait nous dĂ©dommager du prĂ©judice subi mais il ne l'a pas fait. Attention, arnaque notoire !

SĂ©jour rustique et nature!

Joao a assurĂ© notre arrivĂ©e en nous accompagnant en pleine nuit au gĂźte, de mĂȘme il nous a offert un retour touristique en fin de sĂ©jour. La maison est isolĂ©e, couchers de soleil chaque soir, seuls face Ă  l’ocĂ©an. Le confort est sommaire, mais quel calme! TrĂšs bonne situation sur l’ile pour les randonnĂ©es. Il manque quelques amĂ©nagements de confort, mais si vous ĂȘtes sportifs et aimez la tranquillitĂ©, c’est TOP!

Une horrible sensation de moisi a notre arrivĂ©e,la maison sa le e ,impossible de se faire mĂȘme pas un cafĂ© trop sale les couverts,nous nous sommes plaints auprĂšs du gĂ©rant qui n a pas jugĂ© utile d amĂ©liorer la proprete ,pas de wifi, les couvertures de lit crasseuses et trouĂ©es,ma femme a dormi dans un sac Ă  viande craignant trop de toucher les draps,donc rien a voir avec la proprete lĂ©gendaire portugaise,un marchand de sommeil qui en a rien a faire de ses invitĂ©s,

Das Objekt war doppelt gebucht.Der Vermieter war nicht fĂ€hig, eine anstĂ€ndige Lösung zu finden, so dass er stornierte und wir uns eine andere Unterkunft suchen mussten. Nicht zu empfehlen, auch schlechte Kommunikation und fragwĂŒrdiges Benehmen des Vermieters, er scheint vorrangig an den Einnahmen interessiert zu sein, nicht an GĂ€sten!

Beste Lage

FajĂŁ da Ovelha ist eine sehr gute Lage um vom sonnigen SĂŒdwesten Touren in den Nordwesten zu unternehmen. Auch die natĂŒrlichen Schwimmbecken in Seixal sind gut erreichbar.Das Haus liegt an einem Hang mit Blick auf Meer und Palmen. Es gibt auch eine Tischtennisplatte und gemĂŒtliche Liegen um die Sonne zu genießen.

Mitten in der Natur

Einfache Unterkunft, harte Matratze, aber alles Notwendige bei einem gewissen Improvisationstalent vorhanden. Durch die Lage unterhalb des HauptgebĂ€udes absolut ruhig und nicht einsehbar. Man befindet sich mitten in der Natur und muss deshalb auch mit den anderen Bewohnern der Natur zu Recht kommen. Bei großer Angst vor Spinnen sollte man deshalb vielleicht ĂŒberlegen....
