The Wee Hoose: Probably Scotland's Smallest Holiday Home

The Wee Hoose is a one bedroom terraced cottage in a small lane off Calender's Main street and near the central town square. Its a converted workshop and has been refurbished in 2013 to a very high standard, yet retains some original features such as the exposed stone walls in the lounge. The accommodation consists of entrance hall, open plan lounge and kitchen, double bedroom and shower room with WC. There is gas central heating and the heating as well as electricity is included in the rental. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size oven, ceramic hob, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is a 24 ' wall mounted TV screen with integrated DVD player in the lounge; free WiFi internet access; the lounge also has a recliner sofa, a fold out dining table and a coffee table. The bedroom has a double bed and build in wardrobe as well as a chest of drawers for storage. Shower room is equipped with an electric shower, a sink and a WC. All bedlinen and towels will be provided.
Please note the property has no garden; however, within a 5 min walk you are at the river Teith which is ideal for strolling along or just having a picnic. There are many beautiful walks around Callander and plenty of things to do. Callander is an ideal base from which to explore the central region of Scotland. Callander is situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Both Glasgow and Edinburgh are about an hours drive by car. The city of Stirling in the heart of Scotland is about 30 min away by car.
Please note the Wee Hoose does exactly do what it says on the tin: due to its size its best suited to a couple or single traveller; a travel cot can be provided upon request.

This place offers everything you need! After all day of winter hiking it provided nice, comfortable and warm place to chill. Great location right in the centre handy to get to all local amenities and at the same time close to the nature. Plenty of walks - next time we need to stay longer.

The Wee House :-)
Yes it's small, but great for a base to the surrounding area, we found the accommodation perfect for what we wanted and everything you need is in the house. The town of Callander is very friendly with supermarkets, a few pubs, eating places, take aways and a tea rooms, even a Xmas shop! The walk starting in the town which takes in the falls and the Craig was enjoyable.

Perfect place to stay in Callander
We had been looking forward to visiting the Tussochs and staying in The Wee Hoose since we had to cancel in 2020. We finally got there and we’re not disappointed. The house is absolutely lovely!! Plenty of room, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Matt gave us great tips on places to eat and things to see and do. The location is perfect. Highly recommended.

Perfect stay in Callander!
Lovely little house in an ally just off mainstreet. Clean, well equipped kitchen, very comfertable couch and a cozy atmosphere! It's peaceful and quiet. Bakery across the street is good and the area is beautiful! Perfect Base to explore the Loch Lomond national park. The only thing we were not thrilled about was the matras/bed but it was still oke!

The photos don’t do it justice a lovely wee place which was bigger than expected. Loads of room and a welcome pack to boot. Great communication from the owner who also provided local tips which were very much appreciated. If looking for a place in Callander then look no further as this had everything we needed at an unbelievable price. Thanks for providing such a great wee place

Great little place, great location and very clean.
Checked in for two nights for a weekend break with my partner and our dog. The cottage is very cosy and boasts a whole load of equipment to make our stay comfortable! Including a washing machine, cooking utensils and wi-fi.....!! The owner (Matt) was very helpful and provided additional information about the surrounding area and places to take the dog for walks. Would recommend and will definitely be returning!

A Wee Hoose for Large Adventures
My daughter and I just stayed at the Wee Hoose and fell in love with it! It small but has all the conveniences you could ask for. The bed comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. The self check in went smoothly. It is quite close to a divine bakery across the street. The next door neighbor works at the fudge store down the street and was super helpful! I do recommend her mignons. The Wee Hoose was a great hub if you want to explore the local area and there is so much to see! We will want to visit again soon!
