Lovely rural location close to Calne. 2 Beer gardens and very friendly staff. Comfortable and very clean rooms. Would definitely stay again in this welcoming pub with rooms.

All the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and freshly made, decent beer and a relaxed vibe. Nice rural village, and a decent room. I didn't realise when I booked that it was a bath with no shower, and being over six foot, I could not stand up in the bath and use the spray attachment because of the low-sloping roof - but I still enjoyed the stay

What a lovely place! The food at the inn was delectable and the information they provide to guests regarding the area and what to explore is wonderful. Wish I had had more time here, but it was a quick overnight stay. Would stay here again!

The White Horse is quite a find, set in a beautiful quiet village. Our room was very comfortable with high quality oak furniture. The owners and staff were very welcoming. We had the most wonderful dinner and it is clear the chef has great knowledge of ingredients and flavours. It was extremely difficult to choose from the menu of amazing sounding dishes and our meal was an absolute delight. There was good selection of wine and local real ale. Breakfast was equally tasty and we left the White Horse promising ourselves a return visit in the near future. Highly recommend a stay here or just go for a meal, you will not be disappointed.

Amazingly friendly, quiet beautiful inn. Special find, near to Avebury and Silbury. But off the tourist trap. Highly recommended. Will go back one day soon.

The pub was lovely, the Staff were great, Breakfast fantastic.However, the rooms are very tired looking. The shower had very little water pressure, was not adjustable, there is no space to stand because of the shower over bath setup. For the £135, i felt this was poor value for money.

Terrible. Avoid at all costs. Rude at check-in, answered a call half way through and left me waiting for 15 minutes. Power then went off in hotel, checked out 1 hour after arriving. No mobile reception or wifi (as power went off). No refund offered

If you are looking for a quiet retreat ,this is the place for you . We had a really enjoyable two nights here . The staff were great ,friendly and polite .The food was good but I thought expensive .People from London would think it a bargain . Regional differences account for that . Therefore I feel a bit mean mentioning the broken toilet seat , and balcony doors that didn’t shut properly . The manager assured me that these issues would be sorted out .So thing will be ok if you decide to stay.

Happy to come again!
Very pleasant. Rural location but easy to get around. Room was comfortable and nice to have ‘back’ door out onto a patio area. Good breakfast, too!

Very friendly and helpful on arrival. On site restaurant for dinner was amazing (very large serves!) and breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. Beautiful location, cosy room and very comfortable bed. Highly recommended 😊
