"We did not stay at this property, but I had to pick a star in order to submit a review... We had to cancel our trip due to a severe winter storm in the area. Grand Welcome was not helpful, particularly communicative, or responsive about this. They did not respond to my inquiry about the state of the roads and property due to the storm. When I let them know that we would be cancelling, they directed me to file a claim through the insurance that I purchased and offered no other information or help...

"Lovely and cozy home with good proximity to Sugar Bowl. We’ll stay again! The only piece of caution is that the driveway is pretty steep, so if it’s snowy or icy you should have 4WD or chains on your tires. "

"Our stay was very pleasant, lovely home, and great location. However, it would have been nice to have working tv remotes. There were 4 remotes none of which the maintenance technician could repair. He gave us a new one which worked fine. Kleenex, a colander, and salad spinner would have been great to have. We hope to rent this house again!"

"Everything was fine, but the normal sized coffee maker didn’t work, so we had to use the mini coffee maker. There were only 5 forks total. Iron but no ironing board. Body wash bottles empty in two of the three showers. So minor issues, but overall a comfortable cabin on a fairly busy street."

Whiskey Springs by Avantstay Classic Cabin Near Tahoe Donner Ski Area!

"Spacious and well laid at home. We had a great short family vacation. It was about two minutes from the ski resort. All the instructions were clear. Everything worked well and was clean. Beautiful location, surrounded by tall trees. One small thing, the large television in the living room did not have an HDMI input, so it was difficult to connect to the smart remote."

"It’s hard to find a comfy house that allows dogs, so we are glad we found this one! The house is HUGE. 3 floors so if you don’t do stairs well maybe re think this house.
