About this property

Glamplyfe Nature Experience: A-Frames on Lakefront L14

Glamplyfe OHIO offers a calm and relaxing getaway at Happydale Retreat!

Located approximately 1 hour away from Columbus, Ohio and 2 hours away from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Happydale Retreat is tucked away in the pristine trees and hills of the Appalachian Mountains.

The retreat offers only 10 stunning A-Frame cabins that are ideal for two lucky guests to experience glamping.

Come experience a happier and healthier lifestyle!

Upon arrival, guests will park and trek ~50 yards to the A-Frame cabin located on the lakefront.

The cabins feature a hand-crafted, queen-size (or two full size) Japanese futon appointed with high quality bedding and linens to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The cabins have access to electricity and a HVAC system for extra comfort.

For daily activities, guests can fish and/or kayak on the private lake. The lake is stocked with fish, so it’s guaranteed that guests will experience a catch (and release). Equipment can be rented at the trailer. (All participation of activities on the grounds are at the guests own risk.)

After a busy day of exploring the lush trails and private lake, guests can experience the unique shower house in the hills that features private marble showers and modern interior designs. (Access to the shower house from the cabins is ~50 yards hike.)

In the evening, guests will love spending time together in the uniquely crafted interior, whose rustic wooden design create a warm and inviting space, with a comfy reading corner by the window overlooking an unobstructed view of the lake.

Outside, there is a lovely fire pit area that is ideal for gathering around the bonfire for s’mores and stargazing.

In the morning, guests can sit in the fresh air and sip a hot cup of artisan Blue Rose Coffee at the check-in trailer.

Upon reservation, all guests need to sign-in and agree to all of Glamplyfe's waiver terms as listed on the online reservation portal. Camping activities, at times, can be risky, and participation is at the guests' own risk. The shower house bathroom is ADA compliant but may need special lift accommodations. Check in time is 3PM – 6PM. Glamplyfe staffers are happy to provide any necessary accommodations upon requests.

Any object that is taken by the guest they will be charged the retail price + 40% for the inconvenience.

overpriced for what you get
There are many pluses to the place - including the lovely window and the nice showers -- but it is simply overpriced for what. you get. Plus, nowhere does it mention that you are right next to a major highway so it isn't really an escape to a rural idyll -- unless transfer trucks are your idyll. The people were very nice at check in but it was a little tough to communicate outside of that, and I had several questions. For 100 I would say it was great, but when the final price comes to 200 it is just way too much for having to walk to your bathroom, no wifi or fridge, etc.

Beautiful scenery. Peaceful Rest
The property managers were accommodating since our vehicle broke down the night we were supposed to be there. We can that Friday with our daughter and all fit perfectly in one of the cabins. The campsite is new and beautiful. The lake was clean and hubby caught some fish. The restrooms are beautiful. Beyond what you’d expect in a bathroom at a campground. We really loved it and will be back again. Only suggestions: Parking by the cabins around lake Bathhouse maybe on lower level too (thinking of families with smaller kids, it’s a little bit of a hike up the hill)
