"Lovely welcoming staff member at the bar. Although the restaurant was closed, we were able to order and eat our takeaway using the restaurant's facilities. The planting and layout around the car parking is attractive. The property is located a short bike ride from the lovely Evans Lookout. We were able to make free use of the e-bikes. One of these had a faulty battery connection so that we had to return to the hotel to exchange this bike."

"The external appearance is very dated. However inside it is charming. Lots of original features particularly in the library and games rooms upstairs. The inside courtyard area has a charm of its own. Our room was an internal room with no external air (windows opened into internal courtyard) and so we asked for a room with external windows which we could move to.
