The only things keeping it from being an actual oasis are the lack of a comfortable king size bed in the master (the queen bed/mattress is not comfortable at all), the rest of the main floor furniture has seen better days, and the lack of furniture in places you expect it (no coffee table or table lamp in living room next to the chairs, no bedside table on the right side of the master bed, no chair or additional...

We were a little startled at the closeness of other homes, but it was no bother at all for the quiet and remote seclusion when we settled in. "This was perfect for me and my dog’s trip to mammoth cave state park. The cottage is about a minute away from one of the entrances to the park, and was a cozy spot for us to relax in between adventures. The farm next door was a pretty view, and the bed was super comfortable. It was chilly when we were there and the heat seemed to work well. "

"We loved our little but spacious cabin! The location was great for what we were looking for which was to be close to the caves. Unfortunately the weather had turned very cold during our trip and we didn't get to enjoying the disc golf or trails there at the cabin but plan on staying here again this coming summer."

"We had a lovely, peaceful stay at this house. The deck was amazing, the views were spectacular. We enjoyed waking up to see deer, squirrels, chipmunks, birds and more. The fall color and fog rising off the water just added to the beauty. It was close enough to Mammoth Cave that we made trips on two separate days quite easily. The kitchen enabled us to make several meals. I will say one of the showers was a little on the tight side for my husband, who is over six feet, but it was manageable....

"Great location. Adorable house. Beautiful view! We saw deer every day, caught some fish, and saw a bald eagle fly over. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 pre teens. The house was the perfect size. Only negatives were that there was no table to eat at other than outside which would have been fine if it hadn’t been 90 and super humid :). Also, showered are small. A bigger framed person may have trouble maneuvering. Other than. That it was absolutely wonderful!"

"How cool it was to stay in the National Park right across from the visitors center. Deer walking around while i was drinking my morning coffee outside in the provided chairs. Such a neat little cabin feel in the room with a split door . So many neat things about this stay that i really enjoyed. "
