"Knowledge, helpful and friendly staff. As two female friends travelling together we felt safe and taken care by all the staff. A hot breakfast was included and it was amazing. When trying to plan a day of sight seeing the staff asked questions about needs and limitations so that we would have the best experience. Everything is in walking distance - cafes, shops, fine and casual dining. There's also a lovely little salon around the corner if you need a quick wash and blow dry or get your nails done. We highly recommend this lovely hotel if you are planning to visit Madeira."

"I had a lovely stay at The Vine. Right from check in the staff were very pleasant and always helpful. The rooftop bar has a lovely view at night time so is a great place to relax. The rooms are big with plenty of storage space. The location is great as many attractions in Funchal are a walkable distance. The airport bus also drops you off right outside the shopping center which contains the lifts to enter to hotel. The shopping center also has a supermarket in the basement which is handy for any essentials."

"Great hotel in Machico! We booked a few nights here to get away from Funchal but still be close to hiking and the airport. This hotel was perfect! A short walk to a small beach and a the few restaurants nearby were great! The breakfast was also good, highly recommend!"
