"This place was a perfect place to stay for our New Year’s. We have 6 yr old twins and they loved the loft room. The house is old and eclectic. We were able to easily walk down to the arcade and shops in town. "

"Cute house right on the river. We loved the hot tub on the deck looking at the river. Also loved the high ceiling in the family/TV room with a big couch so we could all hang out together. Small kitchen but had everything we needed. A short 10 min drive to Buena Vista with restaurants and shops. We skied at monarch which was great - about 40 min drive. Stopped in Salida a couple times for dinner - cute little mountain town! Highlight of the trip was Mount Princeton hot springs, just 10 min away....

"We immensely enjoyed our stay! It had snowed before we got there so we were treated to a beautiful view and a cozy cabin. The host was quick to respond if we were in need of anything. The cabin is not far from stores and restaurants so that helped us a lot since we had little ones with us. "

"I highly recommend this property it was absolutely beautiful. The stream behind the house was gorgeous and brought a deer and her fawns several of the mornings we were there. The house is well equipped for large groups and it was the perfect spot. Not too far from town but also peaceful and secluded. Buena Vista was a short 10-15 min drive. Perfect."

"We were thankful to stay at this lovely and relaxing, pet-friendly casita while visiting family in the CSC area. Caren is a fabulous host and answered all of our questions before, during and even after our stay. She stayed in touch and made sure we had everything we needed. The back house and hot tub are a plus and our dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard. Host has added some very thoughtful touches, like plenty of soap, towels, extra blankets and pillows. The home stays warm and toasty inside too....

"A River Runs Through has lots of beds and space for a large family. The only suggestion is to get some new pillows for some of the beds as some of them were very flat. We had a great time and it was a great home base for us, even had an office for some privacy to work."

"We wanted a quiet week away after the holidays and this cabin was perfect for our family of 5 plus dog. Great space for everyone to have their own privacy, but also great family room area to gather for meals, games, and reading the by the fire. Communication with Pete was very easy - we had a few things come up that he was able to help out with quickly. Will definitely stay here again!"

"We had our best Christmas visit to CO yet when staying for 10 days in this great property! Only 20 minutes from our son's house in Penrose, minutes from stores, restaurants, gas, museums. So nice to relax in a beautifully decorated home with comfortable beds, roomy bathrooms, all the accessories you could need, and to be able to cook a full Christmas dinner for the family with a large table to eat around and a living room with huge TV where we enjoyed watching the seasonal specials.
