Amazing find! The property was clean, though being in the Hill Country, there were some spider webs inside and outside. The view is stunning and the hot tub was great! Heads up: the house shakes a little when the mechanical equipment starts up. The house was cool, but uses humidifiers, which make a lot of noise. Overall loved our stay, would come back!
We needed a place to get away and disconnect, this met our need. Great communication with owners when needed, great property, and awesome area. Would recommend for a couples get away.
I enjoyed my stay at the private tree house rental. The serene environment and cleanliness made for a peaceful retreat. The only drawback was the slow Wi-Fi, but overall, it was a perfect getaway.
The view was absolutely breathtaking! The house was warm and cozy. The bed was great! It was soft and we slept so good on it. It was exactly as it was pictured. I really appreciated that the host was very responsive when I had questions.
Overall it was a great stay!
We stayed here over Easter weekend. It was a whole lot of fun really enjoyed the hot tub and it was super cute. everything was very clean. The fire pit was nice. It was very well decorated. I prefer a former mattress, but my girlfriend loved it.
The place worked well for us. We were very happy overall. A few things that could upgrade the stay would be a few more kitchen items, i.e. toaster, shades or blinds on the front doors, and a better mattress for the downstairs bed. We enjoyed the view and the place was very cute.
Even though the weather was cloudy and grey, this was a lovely place to stay. The home is well-outfitted. A family with kids would enjoy the loft, too; my daughter always did when she was younger. Canyon Lake is a small town with everything you could need for your stay, even during the slow winter months, and this house is the perfect place (if you do not mind stairs).
My husband and I came here to decompress after our wedding. We didn’t want to leave! The sound system for the tv elevated our movie watching experience. The hot tub overlooking the lake made for some amazing sunsets. We opted to cook dinner both nights we stayed and we had everything we needed for pots/pans/utensils. The beds are extra soft, which was great for us. Thank you for a lovely place to enjoy being newlyweds!

Overall the cottage was nice. I would suggest window shades for front doors and windows because if you are in cottage mid day the direct sun shines right inside the living area. Also the bed is not comfortable, dip in middle and very soft. We enjoyed the hot tub on deck! The location is close to many attractions but unfortunately the lake was low and beaches closed. Boat rentals were scarce and restaurants close early!
Let me start out with the view it was Great!!! Scenic Treehouse had a few issues. Grounds were not keep. There was trash scattered on the property. Inside the house was dusty especially the ceiling fans. The loft was very hot and floors needed to be vacuum. The patio needed attention as well. One of the barstools was missing a screw. Overall my husband and I had a Great time! Thank you Scenic Treehouse!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. It was nice and cozy, and the place has great views even though the lake was down. We didn't get to enjoy the hot tub due to some gloomy weather, but we didn't let that stop us from having some fun around the area. I recommend Wimberly Zip-Line Adventures. The only real issue we had was that we were unable to access the internet, so we just used our hot-spots. Even so, we didn't sit around watching TV. Next time we're going earlier to take advantage of the hot tub when it's a bit cooler. Thanks for a great stay.
This was an annual winter girls trip 50 plus and over. So…rest and relaxation was needed and a must. The major disappointment was that the sheets did not smell fresh or clean and my friend found a hair on the upstairs sheets. The drains in the bathrooms both sink and tub drain a little slow.. I would recommended bringing your own beach towel for the hot tub. But overall this place was great! The views and the location were beautiful! It was peaceful and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again with the hopes of improving the cleanliness of the bedding.
We loved the property. Built up so you can see the lake. Darling inside. Had pretty much all we needed except grilling tools which was odd. Additionally the beds were pretty awful. You kind of roll into the middle. Soft and seemingly old or very used. This was one of the best rentals we’ve been on as far as having places to store things and or conveniences like chargers, lamps, coasters, hooks etc. excellent job!
Overall, it was a great stay. Location was exactly what we wanted! Hot tub was cozy, the view was just amazing, everything a couple could want for a few days away. Only issue was the wifi is through an extender, maybe from the main house and is not reliable for those looking to do remote work. We had to hotspot our phones. Also, it was 100+ degrees each day and the ACs kept up ok. Nothing wrong here, just putting it out that the angle of the house and almost west facing windows and deck made for a warmer living room. Our dogs came too and were very happy albeit the hot deck was rough on the paws in the afternoon and something to account for.
The house itself is very comfortable and decorated nicely. The kitchen was well supplied with any pots, plates, cups etc. that we needed. Very much enjoyed the sunset and stars from the hot tub. Recommendations for future guests would be to pick up a bag of ice before you get there. (one ice tray in the place) Another thing for future guests to be aware of is that in the picture you see of the deck with the 26 steps, that is the ONLY way into the house. No other door or entry. Was a little slow going for my friend who had had knee surgery a few months back. However, once you make it up that darn stairway, it was all good!!
We stayed at this property for two nights and upon arrival there were a few things that upset us- the trash can on the deck was completely full. There was no soap provided for the shower. We were given 4 shower towels and only 1 hot tub towel and we had 4 adults staying so that was kind of rough. There was also no firewood provided for the fire pit. Otherwise, the place was cute, clean, and organized. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire table on the deck. However, I don't think it was worth 600 for two nights and the pricing should reflect the square footage and accommodations. I'd rate it a 7/10.
The property is beautiful. Basically, this is a 2 story tiny home nesteled in some trees. The skylight in the loft was nice. We didn't turn the lights on in the cabin at all during the day with all of the natural light coming in.
A few minor things, definitely not enough storage. We had 3 ladies. The house sleeos 4/5 people. There was a small garment rack in the lofr and a small garment shelf in the room downstairs. Thereare no dressers or any other storage options.
The downstairs bedroom nightstands are nit anchored to the wall correctly so, things slide right off!
The smoke alarm in the kitchen is heat sensitive so, you have to open the widow to cook or it starts screaming!
There is one propane tank for the table firepit and the grill so, you have to swap it around to use one of those amenities. We arrived Thursday. Checkout was Monday. The oropane tank was empty until someone came by to replace it SUNDAY. We couldn't grill.
The firepit on the lower level is cute and fun! We sat there chatting for hours.
We absolutely loved staying here! It was perfect for my fiancé & I! It was clean, they had complimentary shampoo & conditioner, but we brought our own! The views were amazing. It was a little hot due to some of the windows not having blinds, but it’s also the hottest part of the year! We will definitely be staying here again!
