It was spotlessly clean when we arrived as well. Thoroughly recommended. Venus Bay is a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday, and hope to be able to go there again in the future."

"The location and the views are incredible, and the house itself is OK, but quite honestly the owner needs to lift the standard of maintenance particularly of the verandah and the furnishings. It doesn't need to be beautiful, but the safety panes on the verandah are loose and feel unsafe, the living room had two broken armchairs whose backs flopped down if you moved them away from the wall, there was a broken blind in the middle of the windows overlooking the main view, and the table and chairs outside on the verandah are so old they gave us splinters. I think removing old broken furniture and providing an outdoor setting that doesn't cause injury is basic standards that should be upheld regardless of cost, but at this price it feels like a bit of a joke. Plus, I wouldn't feel comfortable having small children on the verandah with the state of the safety panes. Come on people, do right by your visitors - a few small improvements would make a really big difference! "
