It's my second time staying here, and the room I got this time was nicer as the floors had been remodelled (no more carpet). Location is great. Some dust in the bathroom door, but rest of the bathroom was clean. Beds have wheels so they move quite easily on the new floors, but it's not a big deal for me.
Overall, great value for money. Walkable to MCEC, southern cross station and city centre.

Couldnt believe it would cost $20 for each of us to visit the light station - would have happily paid $5 max for entry and would then have happily spent a lot more money in the cafe (inside the ticketed area) - so think a bit of a rip off for a historical site. Instead we gave it a miss and continued our journey.

My husband is 87, and the walk to the lighthouse was too long for him.

Ticket charges for accessing lighthouse was very exorbitant. $50 for 2 adult and a kid is too much. Better access out of hours route to have free access to lighthouse if you like to hike a little
