I don’t ask for much, as long as a hotel is clean and bed comfortable I’m happy. The bed was comfy, however, the room was not clean, the carpet and chair in the room was so stained everything felt horrible, I wouldn’t put any of my belongings on the floor! Location was excellent just step out the door and you are in the centre of Cardiff. The staff were friendly and helpful and a credit to the hotel! The car park was absolutely hideous, the layout is ridiculous, everyone was complaining and people getting stuck as it was all bad angles and confusing. You would be better parking close by. Wine in the bar was absolutely vile, I tipped it away! We wasn’t expecting the ritz, that said we was expecting morticias palace either!

Value for money but the room was quite hot, which meant the window had to be open and the noise outside seemed to go on through the night. Deliveries to the surrounding shops street cleaning going on. Also the TV kept coming on by itself during the night!!!

This hotel isn’t worth the price. Please don’t book it!! The rooms look fine at first glance if not a bit dated. The carpets were a bit forlorn and worn in the room, the windows were dirty and covered in spider webs. And there were even webs inside the room which speaks a lot to the cleanliness. The worst part of this hotel is the beds and the lack of air conditioning. What they advertise as a double room is actually a cheap trick of pushing together two twin beds. So you’re left with an uncomfortable gap down the middle of the bed. Not ideal for a couple. The bed…well let’s be honest beds, also felt old, excessively firm and they should have added a mattress topper to cover the gap at the very least. Or just actually provide proper double beds. The lack of air conditioning is a deal breaker in warmer months. The room felt like a furnace. It isn’t helped by the fact that you can’t open the windows more than an inch. And only one of them is able to open, attached by a safety wire. It just didn’t feel like a safe temperature for guests to be in. There is a provided fan but believe me you’ll need it. The lobby looks very nice and the staff were very friendly. But the positives stop once you open the door to your room I’m afraid. This hotel has no business charging £166 a night. I wouldn’t have paid half that for this experience had I known. I’ve honestly had more comfortable experiences in a travel lodge and that’s saying something.

The location is excellent. The staff and facilities are very good. However, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the shower was inadequate due to the length of the hose and the poor water pressure.

Everything perfect. But the cleaner was hoovering outside on the walkway, if I wasn't have just 1 night stay, I will bee fuming. After having a late night of cause everyone needs to have a rest. I know they have to get it done, but it’s a bit too early at 8.30-9am. Could have wait a bit till 11am.

Regular travelers view of this hotel
Convenient location for city centre, reception area was nice however the room did not live up to expectation. The dated room was not very clean with spilt tea on the walls and in the bath , holes in the walls and hairs on the bathroom floor . The room was a family room however only 2 towels in the room, I asked reception if we could have another however was told I would have to wait until the next morning as staff was limited.

Really lush hotel, However I do think using the pool shouldn’t be another £40 more when you get a junior suite. Celtic manor it is free to use with your stay. So didn’t end up using the pool facilities.
