Brilliant retreat
Lovely house quiet location so peaceful. Shame the weather didn't let us enjoy the garden but it didnt dampen our spirits. So well located, clean, warm and comfortable base for our brief stay. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

A great location for families
We had a great week exploring the area. The house is well situated for Utah Beach and we were never short of things to do. Some of the trips we particularly enjoyed were visiting Bayeux and seeing the tapestry and the cathedral, visiting the D Day Experience museum just down the road, going across to Barneville and Carteret and bodybording on the big waves, and seeing the church at St Mere Eglise from the film The Longest Day which we watched before coming. The house itself was plenty big enough for a family of four, with lovely gardens for the children to run around in. We appreciated the cold drinks on arrival and for the price thought the holiday was good value for money.

Wonderful charming cottage. Great location.
Great cottage! Great location. In the small town of Vierville just minutes from San Marie Du Mont and Carentan. The host was wonderful! Hope to soon visit again.

Quaint and Perfect Location
We loved our stay in Normandy and this gite was perfect for us. The location couldn't have been better. Just wish we had more time to enjoy the countryside.

Gute Lage
Das (Neben-) Haus liegt ungefähr auf halber Strecke an einer Haupstraße, die den nächstgrößeren Ort Carentan mit dem historischen Utah Beach verbindet. Beides ist in ca. 10 Autominuten gut zu erreichen. Trotz der Nähe zur Straße, haben wir den Verkehr als nicht übermäßig störend empfunden. Carentan ist eine kleine Stadt mit einem hübschen Ortskern und in der Peripherie gibt es alles zu kaufen für den täglichen Bedarf und was man im Haus noch benötigt. Utah Beach hat einen sehr schönen und sauberen Sandstrand. Bei Ebbe zieht sich das Wasser sehr weit zurück und ermöglicht ausgedehnte Spaziergänge und viel Gelegenheit für die Kleinen zum Spielen. Selbst bei Flut ist das Wasser eher seicht und daher auch bei relativ niedrigen Temperaturen verhältnismäßig warm. Für Geschichtsinteressierte ist nicht nur das Museum dort sehr empfehlenswert. Die gesamte Region hat in dieser Hinsicht enorm viel zu bieten und das Haus in Vierville ist in dieser Hinsicht ein toller Ausgangspunkt.

Sehr freundliche Dame vermietet Unterkunft neben Ihrem Wohnhaus. Schöner Garten liebevoll angelegt. Es ist alles da aber einfach gehalten.

Schöne großzügige Ferienwohnung
Wir waren mit drei Kindern in der Wohnung und sind gut zufrieden. Die Wohnung hat alles, was man für einen längeren Urlaub braucht, insb Spülmaschine und Waschmaschine. Die Wohnung ist geräumig und hat einen schönen und großen Garten zum Spielen. Frühstücken oder sonstiges Essen kann man gut draußen genießen. Die Lage ist Ideal, um die Provinz Marché zu erkunden. Wir sind bequem bis zur Westküste des Zipfels als auch zum Mont St. Michel gereist, die Landungsstrände sind in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Zum Bäcker oder Metzger kann man ausgezeichnet ins nächste nördliche Dorf fahren, mir fällt der Name gerade nicht ein. In Carentan kann man sehr gut einkaufen. Der Check-in verlief optimal. Das WLAN funktioniert am besten auf der Toilette komischerweise 😄 Woher das Signal überhaupt kam, konnten wir nicht klären. Einen Router haben wir nicht gefunden. Wir sind nach einem schönen Urlaub nach zwei Wochen wieder abgereist.
