"Room was nice but small . Breakfast staff friendly. Considering it was double would.not expect bathroom to.have a small.cloakroom size sink with no where to put anything and shower cubicle not spacious . Bed comfy. Felt we got short straw on room . Bar feels odd having to register for a table to sit inside and felt conducive to a warm welcome. Chose not to eat in pub "

"We had an amazing time. The food amazing in a gorgeous pub. The atmosphere and hospitality was fantastic everyone made us feel welcome very friendly especially the lovely Keith, what a legend! Loved listening to the stories & the history of the building he was brilliant! We paid £132 a night (Tuesday( for our room, there was a few minor problems, especially the volume of the music that we could hear while in our room played in the bar & we did also wonder if it was actually a Superior room,...

"We booked this pub/hotel for a two night stay due to going to a wedding at Hallington Mill a venue approximately 15mins drive away. Arriving on a Friday afternoon we received a lovely friendly welcome and had a evening meal on our first night. We stayed in room 7 a fantastic large bathroom which look brand new. Every member of staff we had dealings with very friendly and helpful. "

"Stayed for 2 nights with my 84 year old mum for a girlie few days away. Our room was at the back courtyard of the inn (I think that’s where they all are). So easy access for mum. Parking close to the room. Room was spacious with modern decor and en-suite bathroom. Hosts were chatty without being intrusive. Breakfast both days and the evening meal we had were delicious and more than ample servings. It’s a quirky inn with loads of character. The bar area is in keeping with the age of the inn....
