Great Stay, great location
We were in town for our daughter’s soccer tournament and lucky enough to stay here instead of a hotel! The location was fantastic, husband even got in surf sessions before the games, clean bathroom and bedrooms, and the convenience of mini kitchen was a huge plus too! We would definitely return!

The Guest House was ideally located close to the beach and an easy walk into Carlsbad Village. It was super clean, and everything was new and nice! Kids loved the closet full of beach toys and having a washer/dryer made life so much easier. Would absolutely stay again. Thanks!

Nice place a block away from the beach. The Studio was nice and layed out perfectly… the only complaint was the master bed was too soft for my Wife and myself so we switched ethe other room with twin beds…. Heather was great , replied quickly with my questions…

We stayed here during March. The property is accurately represented in the listing. It contained everything we needed - note that the kitchenette is small with small fridge, full size coffee maker and toaster. No oven. Room darkening shades were awesome. Hot tub was awesome. Roku on the TVs for streaming. One block walk to the beach. 15 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops in Carlsbad. Much recommended!

Clean and comfortable. Easy to get around, close to the beach and the village! Quiet at night for a good night sleep! Comfortable bed. Living space is tight but we knew this before arriving. Everything we needed was provided. Full size refrigerator in the garage for extra groceries. Would recommend to anyone looking for a laid back beach vacation!

Very nice property and location. A couple of blocks to walk to beach. Short, easy walk to Carlsbad Village. Pay attention to description of property regarding only street parking and mini-fridge/wine cooler/no oven. One couch and no table/chairs for dining. Not an issue for us but might be for some. Easy to access hot tub and large outdoor table to use along with a grill. Could see a limited view of ocean from small deck area with a couple of chairs and a table accessed by metal spiral staircase. Was satisfied with unit.

Clean and modern with nice decor. The kitchenette has no fridge (If that was mentioned in the website posting, I missed it. If not, it should be.) The outdoor space is nicely landscaped-nice hot tub and grill. Private and quiet (although a big construction project, either new house or apartments, is underway behind the house). Roof observation deck is a bonus. Nice stay, overall.

beautiful location near the beach and Carlsbad village
My wife, our two school age daughters, and I booked this location while in town for a girls lacrosse tournament. The property is very close to the beach and downtown Carlsbad village making it easy to grab meals and a little sunshine in between tournament games. We stayed in the guest house location, which was perfect for our short stay. Everything was as described, up to date, clean, and easy to get in and out of. Heather was very nice and accommodating. I would recommend the location and would also consider renting the main house for longer vacation stays. Thank you Heather for making our stay so enjoyable!

Our weekend retreat
Almost perfect. Living area is tight for 4 adults. A couple folding chairs would be good for sitting inside. The many pillows on beds are pretty but not necessary and they sadly end up on the floor. The 2nd bedroom should have a mirror...perhaps on the back of the door. Rooftop patio has a view of the ocean. Loved it. We would definately come again.

Better attention to detail needed
The location was great. It’s quite small so it works for 1 or 2 people. Unfortunately a new condo was built behind the house so there was no ocean view…big bummer. TV in the guest room was wonky and wouldn’t totally shut off so light was on all night. Had to put a towel over it to sleep. No coffee or cream/sugar, another real bummer. They did bring us coffee but we had to steal sugars from every restaurant we went to. FYI -you can’t park in the driveway which is kind of a drag when arriving and departing.

Beautiful, welcoming, relaxing.
This VRBO exceeded my expectations! Heather (the owner) was warm and inviting, and was easy to get a hold of, if needed. We were traveling as a small family of 4, with our 15 month old and 3 year old. There is a staircase to get to the front door of the guesthouse, but once inside we liked that it was all one level. The inside was beautifully remodeled, and very comfortable. Upon request, we had access to a pack n play, and highchair. There was garage parking, (2 spots for guesthouse and mainhouse), a shared washer/dryer, outdoor patio/grill and spa. The outdoor living area was very private and relaxing. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the ocean breeze. We also had access to beach toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, and an outdoor shower. It really was steps away (one block) from our front door, to our toes in the sand. With 2 little toddlers, it was an easy walk (especially with all of the stuff we had to bring). The Carlsbad state beach is very family friendly and not too crowded. Would highly recommend this and would like to come back in the near future! It really had everything we needed to have a very comfortable stay!

Fabulous Efficiency Apartment
My sister, cousin and I enjoyed our reunion there and were delighted at how the host thought of everything we needed. The space was arranged so that we felt comfortable. It was convenient to walk to the surfer's beach and along the sea wall and into Carlsbad for dining and shopping. The spa, outdoor area and the rooftop patio was a nice bonus! I would definitely stay here again.
