This cozy studio is located right on the beach in Carlsbad and is a perfect getaway for two people. It is within walking distance of all the great shops, restaurants, pubs, bars, and entertainment Carlsbad has to offer. This studio has a pullout queen sofa sleeper that can be tucked away during the daytime and brought out for sleeping and relaxing. The sliding glass door opens to a beautiful view of the pacific ocean. Enjoy the sound of the waves breaking on the shore, beautiful sunsets, and playing in the ocean. The home has a flatscreen TV and free WiFi. The kitchen is equipped with the supplies needed for cooking or barbecuing.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). This property was right on the beach. Great location. Some days we didn’t even need to sit on the beach we just sat on the patio. It had everything we needed for our beach vacation. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets right from the patio.

Great beachfront location.
This is a Small studio. The 2 casual chairs in the unit are very uncomfortable and the patio chairs need cushions if you want to sit outside enjoying the ocean for long periods.The only entrance door is a sliding glass door from the patio which is incredibly hard to slide open and closed. My wife couldn’t do it, I struggled with it. No air conditioning but the fan’s really cool the space. The pull chain on the ceiling fan is broken so you can’t reach it to turn it on or off without standing dangerously on a bar stool. My wife and had one hand towel and 2 wash cloths and 2 bath towels. When I contacted them we were told they do not provide additional towels outside of the initial supply. The initial supply was not adequate for 2 people. We were told there was a laundry about a mile away. Other than it’s location this place was very disappointing.

Great spot for a getaway!
Loved the location and appreciated the improvements since last year. One thing of note, most of the kitchen appliances were unplugged. We had to pull out the microwave and oven to find the cords before we could use them!

Perfect for a couple
Great location and just the right size and amenities for a couple. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the beach, ocean and village, this is it! The bed is only okay and the bathroom is very small, but it was a perfect place to fall into bed exhausted at night.

Did not know there was no AC. Room was uncomfortable warm most days. A bit like indoor camping. Did not meet modern lodging standards. Need taller cleaning staff to reach top of refrigerator and shower. Great location and GREAT beach view.

Property was not as advertised in some ways. Terrible bed. Bathroom was still dirty. Mold around tub. Unable to gain access until much later in evening as lock on door broken so we lost a night and next day of some plans already made.

Great character suite on the beach!
Location, Location, Location! Tucked in the heart of Carlsbad Village could sometimes make daytime parking challenging, but everything you need is walkable, so for the first few days we parked the car and never used it. Just steps away from the ocean! We made use of our patio space; laying out in the sun, grilling dinner and enjoying it at the outdoor table. Perfect amount of space for 2 of us - just my teen daughter and I. We were in town for a soccer tournament. We ordered groceries and picked them up on the way into town from Walmart so we didn’t have to eat out every night. But we were surrounded by great restaurants and ice cream shops. Made the tournament a great vacation too.

Beautiful view. Not very private. Neighbors walk in front of windows each time they come and go. Didn’t realize it was a studio but the ocean sounds made up for it.

Couldn’t beat the location
I booked this with VRBO BUT VACASA was the actual company that was managing. Instead of getting the typical owners emails nothing came. We arrived late about 10 at night and had no instructions… totally locked out. I contacted the owner several times via VRBO and received no answer. So I had to call VRBO and explain that we never received instructions. Over the next hour they contacted VACASA and still no email (yes I looked to junk). So I had to again call a née person and explain. She was able to read the code. Yay!! I went to open the box to the right of the door abd the.box wouldn’t open!! Back on the phone again. Ends up they have two lock boxes with different codes?!?!? Another was on a pole behind you when you face the door. 1.5 hours later we got in. No instruction book for WIFI so the next morning another call was made. We have VACASA 3 different emails and never received anything on any of them? I’m also a premier host for two luxury houses. VERY happy that my guests never have to go through all these hoops. The place was in a great location. It is old and VERY few improvements have been made over the years.. You got what you paid for with this low rate….if the check in wasn’t such I mess I would have really had no complaints…Waves and waves!!!

Had a wonderful, relaxing month on the oceanfront. Walking distance to the farmer’s market, restaurants, grocery, breweries, and cafes. Loved watching the sunset every day and listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. Rental process was easy through VRBO.

Beach location was excellent and close to everything we needed. Amenities were very good but disappointed with the comfort of the bed even with the 3" foam padding. Windows not operable and very dirty. Overall a very pleasant stay.

This place is pretty basic and is good for one or two people. The key is location. It is right on the beach and is very close to nearby dining places. I really enjoyed constant sound of the waves, quietness in the mornings and sunsets at night.

Amazing Location
This is an older but nicely equipped and clean studio with a great sized patio. You can enjoy the crashing of the waves from inside and outside. The sunsets were amazing. Within walking distance to many dining options. We will definitely be back.
