Bear Grove Cabins is a great place to stay if you're in the area. The grounds are beautiful, it's quiet, and the cabin we stayed in was beautiful, clean, and well appointed. It's great having dinner come with the room as well as breakfast. And the owners are great--personable and attentive. An example: we came down to the area for the eclipse, and realized only the morning we left that the eclipse glasses we bought were among those recalled by Amazon. When we mentioned this to Sharon, she took it upon herself to find another pair for us--and I'm pretty sure that in doing so she gave up her own pair. Service way beyond the call of duty!

The best place to stay

First off. Everything was outstanding it would not let me hit that one on the survey. I loved my stay there. The cabin and it's surroundings are so beautiful. I went there for peace and quiet and that's what I got. I enjoyed talking with the owners (didn't want to put your names on here). The food and the wine was wonderful too. I'm hoping that they stay open for a long time ?? because I plan on telling everyone they need to stay there and I want to go back real soon. Thank You so much for the Great place to stay.

Peaceful, lovely weekend with in-laws.

We enjoyed the quiet, remote location of the beautifully-decorated log home. The hospitality shown by our hosts was great, and our stay was very relaxing. The meals were very good, and we had every amenity we could possibly need and more. We plan to return for sure.

Great stay! Stayed multiple times and never disappoints!

We love the fireplace at the Cabina, the layout of the rental and especially the shower!!! Service is great and we always get the privacy we need! Love this place and can't say enough good about it or the owners! We highly recommend!

Serenity has a name -- Bear Grove Cabins

Bear Grove is a bit of a splurge to stay at, but it's so darn relaxing you can't regret it. We were looking for a place to get away from the city bustle and unwind and this hit the spot -- down the lane from the main house, which is on a gravel road, which is 10 minutes from the nearest town. There are fields and woods to walk through, stars to gaze at, and someone else preparing your supper every night. The owners are thoughtful and treat you like family (except they don't burst into your room at 7 a.m. asking for your help), allowing you space but so willing to help in any way. Be prepared for a tankless water heater -- which is great as long as you know that hot water will not be instantaneous. The food was delicious and more than plentiful (they provide overly generous portions from breakfast and supper, meaning leftovers for lunch. Hurrah!) and the wine was a sweet treat, too. I'm ready to go back. Note -- the website won't let me give 5 stars in any category, but otherwise I sure would.

Great getaway spot

We fished, hiked and enjoyed the outdoors while we were there at the black bear cabin. We stay two nights. Meals were wonderful and it was a nice getaway that wasn't too far away from home. We have a fire one night with marshmallows and enjoyed being kid free??

Wonderful! Just what we needed!

We (my parents, 2 kids, hubby & I) had such a wonderful time! The food was delicious and just the right amount. Really saved us from having to drive into the town or drag along a bunch of food. The cabin was much much bigger than the fotos appeared. We really enjoyed walking/hiking about the property w/ the house dogs leading the way... They are SOOO cute!! Dingo the Dog would come to greet us whenever we were out. The fire at night both inside and out was really nice. And the bathroom was great. The shower/waterfall area was huge!!!! And the host was a delight! So friendly and approachable. We really enjoyed our stay & will DEF recommend to our friends/family!

Perfect for a quiet bachelorette party or small family getaway!

Four of my friends and I were looking for a b&b to spend an overnight in for something like a bachelorette party before one of us gets married within the next month. The location of this place was perfect, way out in the country, secluded, very quiet with plenty of animal life. We weren't looking for anything real splashy, just comfortable and clean. We stayed in the Cabina West, and it more than met my expectations! The beds were comfortable, shower was something I now want to install in my own home, kitchen was well equipped, and everything was clean. The meals were fantastic, and Sharon was a wonderful hostess! Also plenty of areas to go take a walk (which we did, and didn't feel at all uncomfortable walking around their personal yard! thanks again Sharon! Felt like home!). I would definitely suggest this to anyone as a great place to slip away for a few days if you're in in need of some rest and relaxation! I plan to go back if the opportunity arises! :-)

Relaxing time with the faimly

The cabin and the setting with the onsite pond was great. It was our second time here and would love to come back. Getting away from the busyness of life and to step back and relax with the family was awesome. Excellent food, friendly innkeepers and there dogs made another memorable vacation for us.

Birthday Get Away

My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised by the venue. The food was delicious! Our hosts were superb and went above and beyond for us. Simple touches like birthday candy and searching for an auto shop for a car problem we had really showed the love, care, and compassion for their guests. We also went for a beautiful walk with the dogs following us around the property and showering us with love :) Not to mention how much fun Maggie the cow was! We have never had such a relaxing, carefree mini vacation.

Coyote Cabin

There isn't onsite dining, however they made us a crock-pot meal. The only thing I would say negative about the entire experience was that the manager were right next door and we were looking for a little more privacy. Other than that, it was a great weekend.

Sibling Gathering

As part of a four siblings and spouses getaway, we LOVED our stay at Bear Grove Cabins. It was so relaxing to spend family time outside, roasting smores (provided!) over a campfire and then retiring to our beautiful cabins. The food was great: slow cooker lasagna, homemade bread, white chicken chili, cornbread, cookies, wine and more, all ready at our leisure. Breakfast was tatertot quiche, basil strata, Hungarian Mesquite sausage skewers, and biscuits, which we popped in the oven as soon as we were ready. They were so good, we asked Sharon for the recipes, which she was happy to share. The next day we took advantage of one of the beautiful wineries in the area to cap off a wonderful weekend. Sharon and her family were wonderful to work with. For a full cabin rental (or two, in our case!), two meals and snacks, access to their many acres and pond, the value is amazing. Highly recommended!

Me and my fiance had an amazing time. Place was very clean, service was amazing, and the host was very friendly!!! Their were trails and plenty of woods to enjoy! It was an all together peaceful secluded getaway!!!

Perfection!!

Amazing accommodations with keen attention to every detail. Delicious dinner was provided including homemade bread and a bottle of wine, with a surprise treat of homemade brownies!! The property is quiet and private with interesting trails to meander and a pond for fishing. Cabin has beautiful front porch outfitted with rocking chairs for relaxing. Friendly, accommodating and very helpful hosts. Sincerely hope that we have the chance to return!!

Weekend getaaway

Perfect quiet getaway. Owners are wonderful and have thought of every detail to make you feel right at home. The cabin we stayed in was everything we needed and more and sitting on the porch with the view of the trees and the pond was the relaxation we needed.

Wonderful getaway

This was the first bed and breakfast we stayed at that included an evening meal. Was really a great place to relax and enjoy the property. The decorations were so cute and this place had all the comforts of home. Also my husband enjoyed fishing in the pond right in front of the cabin.

PERFECT WAY TO END SUMMER

I went spent the weekend there with my family and another. We had a total of 5 kids ages 5 to 10. Never once did we hear the words I'm Bored They kids loved it! They were so tried by end of the day. They put themselves to bed by 9pm. So parents had time to enjoy the weekend!
