Great getaway in the Woods!
This place was a great place for us to stay on our vacation. Secluded outside of the city, and a short drive down a gravel road, it really feels that you're lost in the woods, but in a good way. If you're up to visit the Gunks, Angry Orchard, the Hudson river, love the beauty of the outdoors, and have other family or friends to visit in the area, definitely consider this home. Host was very responsive and had everything ready for us.

Beautiful and Quiet
After leaving another incredibly dirty house midway through our work trip to NY, this place was a welcome relief. It was clean, the property was amazing and quiet, and the house possessed all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Hopefully, they'll get screens on all the windows soon because we would have definitely had the windows open if there had been screens on those cool nights. Highly recommended!

Wonderful quiet haven
Great house in a beautiful wooded area, perfect to enjoy nature. The house is spotlessly clean, and has got all you could need for a comfortable stay. The property is huge and has several trails you can follow. There was a storm when we were there, which caused a blackout, and the owner immediatly arranged for someone to come and turn on the generator. My family had a wonderful time making s'mores over the firepit in the backyard, walking around and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Comfort in the woods
The house was the perfect spot for us to stay while attending a high school reunion near West Point. The house had everything we needed. It was a comfortable spot to relax when we were there. It was also a great spot for seeing things within a 3 hour radius as several states are accessible from here including Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. There is great hiking in the area as there are multiple trails in the area including the Appalachian Trail.

Absolutely Amazing!!
The ad for this house doesn’t even begin to do it justice! It was an absolute AMAZING adventure. My friends and I were in town for a dog show. This house was ten minutes from the show site and so peaceful and quiet! There ended up being 6 adults and we had the best time! We sat out by the fire and had smores each night. We cooked out and enjoyed the views while grilling and utilizing the beautiful deck. The biggest concern we had when booking was that there was only one bathroom and we were a party of 6. It was not an issue at all! The bathroom was nice size and we had zero issues making sharing work. The hosts were VERY responsive and instantly did whatever needed to be done to keep us comfortable! The day we arrived there was a horrible storm and the power in the entire area was out. They immediately came over and started the generator so we would have lights and AC. The power was restored about 5 hours later and they came right back over to turn the generator off and see if there was anything else we needed! We look forward to coming back to these shows again in the future just so we can stay at this house again!

Quiet and peaceful
We loved Lost In The Woods! It was very secluded and quiet, yet close to so many attractions. We enjoyed Cold Spring, Wappingers Falls, New Paltz and Bearsville during our stay. Excellent hiking nearby in Fahnestock, and of course, Breakneck Ridge. Also went to see the Buddhist monastery. The hosts left clear instructions and were very easy to work with. The kitchen had everything and the bed was very comfortable. The extra room off the kitchen is perfect for seeing the grounds without having to brave the heat or bugs. There is also a beautiful deck and fire pit. Would definitely go back!

Secluded and Relaxing Getaway
My husband and I stayed here for three nights in June 2024 so we could visit some historical places in the lower Hudson Valley. The property owners have done a wonderful job renovating the house, which feels like it is miles from anywhere, but is still close to local amenities (we went to the local Stop & Stop for provisions so we could cook our breakfasts and dinners). There are no pictures of the bathroom but it has a 3' vanity and a full sized tub/shower combination. Communication with the owners was quick and effective, the check in process was simple, and the house itself was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our vacation here so much that we already booked a return trip! Thank you Joe and John for hosting us.

Quiet and beautiful
This was a great, wonderful experience for us. We stayed 6 weeks while our home was renovated. The property is gorgeous. We got there as plants were budding and trees were coming alive. Every day was different. We felt completely safe. The cabin was nicely decorated and very comfortable to stay in. The cabin held all that you needed to be comfortable. The kitchen had all the pots and pans you need to make meals. We were close to town so picking up supplies was easy. We loved our stay. Dont miss this experience.

Was a perfect place for Christmas
I was beyond pleased with the place. It was so cozy exactly what I was looking for to spend a week in New York at Christmas time. It was super clean, and the owners responded quickly when we had a question. As soon as we walked in instantly, I felt at home . This is the first time that I’ve stated a place that I slept well in the bed, beds were so comfortable. I can’t wait to come and stay here again, thank you for providing a wonderful place for people .

Beautiful remote cabin
My brothers and I spent a weekend at this cabin for a mini reunion and we loved it! The cabin was spacious and clean and had amazing views! The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed for cooking and there was a beautiful kitchenette area with lots of windows. Unfortunately it rained all weekend so we weren't able to use the firepit off of the back deck, but that would have been nice to sit around in better weather. It's very remote which added to its charm, but it was a relatively short ride into town so shopping was easy. I highly recommend this cabin.

A quiet haven
The house and property were well cared for and provided lovely views of the woods, sunrises, sunsets, and a stellar sky. The property is large and woodsy, had a lot of birds, deer, and wild turkeys, and was so quiet you can’t help feeling peaceful. The owners were friendly, communicated well, and took care of minor issues quickly.

Green, clean, and woodsy
Restful and fun place for us six, good friends who could amicably handle sharing one bathroom who were in the area for a wedding in Garrison. Beginnings of each day we gathered outside on the sunny back deck. Coffeemaker and fridge worked fine—that is all we needed. One night we sat watching the dark skies for Perseid meteor shower—and saw falling stars aplenty. Many thanks!
