Unfortunately we were there during a heat wave, and hardly anything in Carmel has air conditioning, so it was hot in the house. Supplied fans helped. Our stay turned out to be during an unusual heat wave, so we wished there had been AC, but perhaps this is usually not a problem in that area. The only not so ideal things were that the exterior patio was quite dirty, the trash barrels were fully covered in cobwebs, wasp nests and spiders.
