Luxury villa with private pool overlooking golf course, close to beach

This luxury traditional style villa, situated on the 10th fairway of the golf course, is the perfect venue for a family or golfing holiday. A safe, gorgeous sandy beach is within easy walking distance and several other spectacular beaches are only a short drive away. The villa is luxuriously furnished with a large, bright living room which has seating for 8 and satellite TV. The dining area has a large extendable table and also seating for 8. There are 3 bedrooms on the ground floor consisting of a twin room with its own ensuite bathroom and seperate door to the courtyard, and two further twin rooms with a shared family bathroom, together with the fully-fitted kitchen, making the house suitable for those who require downstairs accommodation. The master suite is upstairs and has an ensuite bathroom and large roof terrace.
The large and spacious garden has a paved area infront of the large patio doors overlooking the golf course. There is a large outdoor table with seating for 10 on this patio which is also shaded by a wooden pergola. The area around the 8m x 4m swimming pool is decked and is ideal for sunloungers. The pool is also surrounded by fencing, however sections infront of the decking areas are removeable if visitors prefer. In addition their is also a large courtyard, ideal for the sunny but cooler winter months. The remainder of the garden is grassed, private and secure. Access to the car port is via an electric gate.


Hire car rates: Cars can be hired easily on line and I recommend that you 'surf' to find the best deal for you. A car is advisable but not absolutely necessary. Faro airport is the best for the villa at approximately one hour away, however Seville is also convenient only an extra few mins more than Faro. Again, 'surf' the net for the best deals for flights. Faro is extremely well served and Ryanair fly daily to Seville.




Golf information:: The villa occupies a beautiful location, overlooking the 10th fairway of the Nuevo Portil Campo de Golf. El Rompido Golf Course is less than 5 minutes' drive away. The courses here on the Atlantic Coast of Spain are relatively quiet, of excellent quality and much better value than those over the border in Portugal. In total there are 6 courses within a 15 min drive of the villa and a further 4 within another 20 minutes. Discounted Green Fees can be organised through our local rep.



Beach: The beach is a 10 - 15 min stroll away, and has miles of golden sand. There is also a 5km long sand spit aprox 200m offshore from the main beach which can be accesed via water taxi's during the high season.

Nice property. Close to golf courses. Surrounding area a bit dead in the evening although it is late in the season. Apple TV didn’t work, but luckily I brought my one over! One set of towels looked well worn. Overall it was ok for golfers!

Great Family holidays
We had an amazing time! The house is big and comfortable, everything was very clean and tidy. The pool and terrace are the best of the house. We spend much of the time outside. All the rooms have AC but we hardly use it as the house is well insulated. Easy comunication with the owner and easy check in and check out. We will rent it again!

Peaceful Villa
The villa is lovely and very well equipped. The garden and pool are great and very peaceful and there are so few players on the golf course you hardly notice them. We didn’t find the restaurants in el Portil to be particularly brilliant and the town is a bit uninteresting in our view.

Lovely position overlooking the golf course. Very peaceful. Lovely villa with everything you need. Very clean. Quiet area out of the main season but easy to access facilities with a car. Great communication in the run up to and during the stay. Would recommend.

Complete silence
If you love nature and bird chirping while enjoying your morning coffee then you have found your perfect location. The house is equipped with all the necessary conforts and utilities for a great holiday (the only thing that I felt was missing in the kitchen were some new pans and skillets). If you don't want to cook you can eat delicious affordable food not 10 minutes away (10 euro for the daily menu choice) at Maravilla Restaurant. We really enjoyed it here and plan on coming back. Brilliant villa

Clean, spacious, quiet with a pool
Wonderful home with ample space for a decent sized group. For us (me, wife, 3 kids), it was larger than necessary but worked out wonderfully. The kitchen and included amenities served us well,; plenty of bathrooms for my pre-teen boys to get lost in; the pool, although cold, was stupendous. The only real negative we experienced was the lack of communication leading up to the actual check-in... we even engaged VRBO for assistance but they were useless. Overall 4 stars with 1 deducted for weak comms.

Wonderful family holiday villa
Great villa with superb pool. Fantastic layout to villa which works well for groups and families. Emma and Chris who manage the property were so helpful in sorting out baby/toddler stuff for us and Pete who looks after the pool and gardens kept the pool sparkling and clean for us. Great communication by the owner Andy when we first booked too. Very happy with the whole experience and made some wonderful memories with our family - thank you!

Fantastic, spacious , secure villa in a great area.
1. Wonderful sun terraces. 2. Modern & comfortable furnishings. 3. Bright, light and well designed property with grounds just great for leisure. 4. The whole coastal section is full of sand dunes, unbelievable beaches, fishing boats , tracks for walking / cycling & running coupled with cafes/ restaurants and golf for the enthusiast.

Peace and Tranquility
After months of uncertainty due to Covid19, we were able to travel. The villa is ideally situated alongside the 10th hole of Neuvo Portil Golf course, which ensured a very quiet stay. The grand children spent a great amount of time in the pool, whilst the adults just chilled! Due to Covid, we didn't leave the villa very often, but the local area is quiet and we felt perfectly safe. Overall it was an extremely welcome and enjoyable holiday.

Relaxing Break
We had an enjoyable weeks stay at this property. Unfortunately the property manager didn’t know we were coming but the property was quickly cleaned and this didn’t detract from our holiday. Good spacious property but will need refreshing soon (paintwork tired, tiles missing from pool, Grubby sunbed cushions, new pots and pans needed etc). Leaving this aside it was a nice property with a lovely view over the golf fairway.

Beautiful villa
Booking, payment and communication was all really straightforward. Villa was comfortble and very spacious. The pool was great and had the facility to close gate for safety if required. The villa is about 5 mins walk from the busier residential area of the town but the walk to the facilities and beach are really straightforward and the house and grounds lovely and quiet. Fantastic sunset every night and brilliant views from the rooftop terrace. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone!

Fantastic holiday
This is a very spacious and comfortable property, ideal for a family holiday. The setting is beautiful, overlooking a quiet golf course. The location of the pool is great, with a large patio area both in sunshine and shade. Alfresco eating/bbq was very easy with a well equipped kitchen. There are several nearby places to visit. Seville is a wonderful city worth the hour long journey. The local beach is crowded and a good 20 minute walk but other quieter areas of the beach can be accessed easily by car. A lovely property that we would not hesitate to recommend. Emma and Chris were very helpful in welcoming us and in dealing with any issues.

Perfect for us.
Lovely villa in a quiet spot. Large and well furnished with comfortable seating. Well equipped with many extras and had a good supply of hot water throughout day. Spacious outside area with plenty of sunbeds and good sized pool. The area is beautiful with clean unspoilt and uncrowded beaches. We enjoyed cycling around the El Rompido area. There is also an excellent network of cycle tracks in the area. Not too far from the beautiful city of Seville for a day out. Would certainly recommend the villa and the area.

Perfect family holiday
A gorgeous villa with all the amenities you could need. In a fabulous area, typically Spanish (which we loved) within walking distance to beautiful beaches and fab bars and restaurants. Lots to do locally, we particularly enjoyed kayaking and visiting Muelle De Las Carabelas in Huelva. El Rompido in the evening is a must with lots of lovely bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend this villa, we will definitely return.

Fantastic villa
We had a great week in Andy's beautiful, comfortable and super clean villa. The lovely pool was a great hit with the children (it's walled so safe for little ones). The nearby beaches are stunning - miles of beautiful sand and only an hours drive to Seville. Highly recommend!

A very pleasant holiday
We enjoyed a wonderful month during Jan/Feb 2018 The modern house was clean and well-aired; fully equipped. All main UK TV channels, and Apple TV for those with iPads Broadband was just about adequate at 2.5Mbps but sometimes buffered when streaming For a winter let the heating, provided by A/C units was OK. But when the promised log-burner is installed it will be perfect. If you are not into golf then the surrounding area provides many cycling tracks ( to Huelva, Punta Maria and Cartaya), walking through the pine forests and long, empty sandy beaches. Don’t look for any nightlife in El Portil, it is shut for winter. But there is excellent bird-watching; flamingos, storks, egret, sea eagles , hoopoes amongst the many . We would happily return

Lovely villa in lovely surroundings. We went as a group of 3 couples and there was plenty of room for everyone. Very well equipped on every level from kitchen to bedrooms and bathrooms to outdoor space. The surrounding areas are great . We loved El Rompido and went for lunch there a few times. Not many restaurants open in the evenings anywhere during the week at this time of year because there are not the tourists about, but alot more at the weekends. Good supermarkets are within easy reach of the villa so not really a problem. Very relaxing and comfortable stay. Any problems we had, which were few, were quickly sorted by Emma and Chris and the team. Thankyou for a great holiday.

I have been trying to contact euro assistance (property insurance division). Since you recommended this insurance to cover any damage to Property 82896 (El Portil, Cartaya, owner: Andy Gosling, picture opposite), and we wish to claim for accidental damage to two dining room chairs by a very young child, during our stay, can you please help me to contact this elusive insurance group? I have sent two claim forms to date and have heard not one cheep back. Can you help me to contact europ assistance? I am losing patience. Just returned from my 8th visit!
Great villa with gated private pool. Lovely views onto the golf course. Lots of walking/ running routes and local cafe's. Perfect place to relax and unwind.
