"We weren’t disappointed by this property at all. We stayed for 3 nights while attending a wedding . I will say that this place while soundproofed, is not quiet, you can hear people in other rooms. The beds could be a bit more comfortable too. Other than that, our room was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English. The location is beautiful, we loved Jonzac and would return. "

"Our cottage was located about 30 minutes north of Bordeaux in a very quiet community. The owners lived right on the property and if we needed anything we’re just a knock on the door away. The unit itself reminded us of our lake cottage with cozy but somewhat outdated furniture. But that suited us just fine. Our main purpose was to have a home base to visit wine chateaus and it was perfect for that. "

"7 friends stayed at the chateau for the marathon du medoc. The property is very large and beautiful. Quiet and tranquil. The main house is very well appointed and recently renovated with a huge TV, pool table, lovely cooker and the bedrooms were very large and beautifully appointed. The pool was awesome, and not too cold in September. We were able to cook comfortably for 7 people with good cooking equipment. Highly recommend"

The gite had everything we needed, and the view was lovely - across the road was a vineyard, but the gite is on a road where, although cars are few and far between, they do drive far too fast. We had a lovely few days at the beginning of our holiday but on the fourth day a taxi drove into us at speed (not near the gite, on the way to Jonzac) and the hire car we were in was flipped over and ended up...

"Just got back from this wonderful property and it was excellent. Maggie was really helpful on making sure everything was there for us and instructions were easy. The house is lovely with everything you need for a relaxing break. Shops a drive away some lovely places to eat near and overall a great place to stay."

"We had two lovely week holiday at The Chai and cannot fault anything. Anne and her husband are the perfect hosts-friendly, welcoming and happy to provide ideas and advice for places to visit. They were always available but never intrusive. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was spotlessly clean. "My wife and I spent a fantastic, relaxing 10 days in St Fort sur Gironde. We rented a very well equipped and comfortable 2-bedroom cottage with a private heated pool. As well as finding the gite all we wanted, the village and locality were wonderful too. We were also fortunate to enjoy sunny, warm weather for most of the time we stayed so we were able to swim and sunbathe almost every day."

"Weather good , location more isolated than we expected. No restaurants or supermarkets nearby. Why is it necessary to give an hours notice to use the pool? Pool and garden excellent. Think the accommodation would be stretched for a party of 8."

"The Villa is beautiful and in a perfect location. The Villa however does require updating and some maintenance work. We did not realise the Villa does not supply any bedding or towels, so this had to be flown in and others by car which was frustrating. It would be nice if the Villa can recommend local shops, eateries and places of interest as nothing is supplied or recommended. WiFi took a few days to be sorted and both patio and pool furniture is in need a of change. Overall, lovely Villa."

"Very luxurious stay. Incredible room - beautiful finishings and a view overlooking the lovely courtyard. The setting is lovely with a vineyard on site with a terrace. The staff were really friendly. The restaurant in Bages was a 5 minute walk and was lovely also although unless you have a car (or arrange a taxi which can be quite expensive we foune) there are not so many options around other than that but the hotel itself is nice enough to want to stay! "

"7 friends stayed at the chateau for the marathon du medoc. The property is very large and beautiful. Quiet and tranquil. B&B HOTEL Bordeaux Saint André De Cubzac

"This time the automatic check in was a massive mess. 1 it did not accept my credit card from the booking or the QR code to release the code to the safety gate to enter the hotel parking or my room. 2 it then charged me twice the deposit/incidental fee. That was corrected without me Asking by the personnel the next day so service once a human is involved is great and friendly. 3 I call the help desk and no-one responded during the nearly 40 minutes it took me trying different cards, the system Doing a full reboot, getting it somehow to work again and gaining access to my room. 4 in the end I got the code and access, the staff the next morning apologies profusely and said there must have been a mass outage as normally the help desk is very responsive. So one good experience before, one no so good this time. I’ll give it another go as the people there are very friendly and it’s a good value for money stay and breakfast."
