Incredible views.
You can really disconnect from all over the daily stress. Your body and your mind will be thankful for it. The scenery of the landscape is like going to te museum everyday. I will miss it.

Access to water? Really?
Booked this cottage for easy access to the sea which was at the end of the “garden” ( per the description). Disappointingly, the “garden” was a field cattle use ( with the requisite droppings). No clear path to shore. Brambles. An incline with lots of dips and boggy wet hollows. Ruined shoes on day one.The water is seaweed covered big boulders and slippy rocks. After the first day we didn’t bother trying again, choosing instead to drive half an hour each time we wanted to raft or swim. The view was lovely and neighbouring dogs friendly. So we’re the gnats, but I believe they were extra abundant this year.

Lovely cottage in great location
We chose this cottage because of the waterfront location and it certainly delivered. We had a great time enjoying the seashore and views when the weather allowed, plus local walks along the nearby lanes. The garden is rough and ready for sure but this was outlined in the description and we had no issue getting down to the sea whenever we wanted. I note some negative comments from others about access to the sea and the weather - I would point out this is rural Galway, so what do you expect?! It was a great base for us to explore Connemara more widely. The cottage itself is inviting and the heating works well. It is very clean and the housekeeper clearly does her job well. The shower room is modern and comfortable; the bathroom older and less good but it was still fine for us. The cottage does have a feel of being someone's home rather than a dedicated holiday cottage, and from what I was told this is actually the case. We have stayed in various Irish cottages and certainly do not expect a 5 star hotel... The cottage stacked up well against other places we have stayed. With this in mind a couple of suggestions for improvement. The sofas are truly a relic of the past and were not comfortable at all. The kitchen is basic - which was fine by us - but a new set of pans would really help. For us it was a great place to stay and we really enjoyed our time there.

Great Rosroe/ Cashel bay rental
Loved the place, great bedrooms and bathrooms and views. I know Rosroe well so it all worked for us. Only improvement would be some low lighting in sitting room.

Charming cottage with spectacular view
We loved our week in this beautiful, remote cottage with a view of the water. Situated in a gorgeous spot, it was easy to visit many of Connemara villages and sites. It has a well equipped kitchen and beds are comfortable. Very memorable and charming house.

Wonderful stay in beautiful surroundings
We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at the cottage in Cashel. It was surrounded by magnificent scenery and Mrs Flagherty, the Housekeeper, was wonderfully helpful. We would certainly go there again. Our only issue was not very powerful shower and bath towels were too small.

A grey house in the grey part of Ireland
Don't expect sunshine when you go to Connemara. Gray weather is the norm here. However, when the weather, sea and landscape are gray, you don't need another gray house: the living room is furnished with old furniture that hasn't only become uncomfortable after all the people who have sat on it. The kitchen transports you back to the time when you were studying, when nothing fitted together and everything was old and used. A shaky, tiny bench is available outside for the few hours that the sun actually shines. You can just about put a cup or a glass in the window frame behind. Unfortunately, you can only enjoy the nice view if you are sitting at the table in the kitchen. Conclusion: even the modern bathroom (one of two) cannot make up for the loveless impression, especially since there is no coziness in the evenings either, since the wood-burning stove can only be fired by an expert and the lighting is more reminiscent of public buildings.

Wonderful time on the Connemara coast!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Cottage. The home is super comfortable, plenty of space for us three women. The kitchen is easy to use and the bathrooms are nicely renovated. I loved the handmade quilts! The view is spectacular from the cottage, and the drive down the coast is lovely. It is not near anything, which was just fine for us. About 20 minutes to get into Roundstone for a pub, coffee, and shops.

Nice house in a great location
Preston's cottage is a great house providing much more space than you would think from looking at its front side. Very well appointed and meticulously clean, we felt immediately at home. Great location for exploring Connemara and a great view over bertraghboy boy from the property. Siobhán and Barbara were a pleasure to deal with and everything went avsolutely moothly despite the Covid pandemic and its effect on baically every aspect of travel. Only small downside: some of the matttresses could do with a replacement. All in all, highly recommended.

Prestons Cottage Review
Bright comfortable cottage in a tranquil picturesque location. The following comments are for the owner only: The online photos of the house left this beautiful property's unique selling points as a surprise and for that reason, I gave it a three. I would suggest a picture of the house with the mountains in the background and a view of the kitchen looking out to the sea and additional photos of the main bathroom and bedrooms.

Rural hideaway, stunning views
Comfortable, coastal cottage with well sized bedrooms and good facilities. Stunning location and great base to explore the area - Roundstone, Clifton, and many attractions. Swimming from end of garden at high tide.

Beautiful location, unforgettable
From the web-listing we were excited to have found our perfect hideaway for a week with the kids but the photos actually don't do this place justice. It's the perfect combination of location, charm and modern convenience. We were simply blown away by the location and the house itself. The location was perfect for an exploration of the area and the house was both comfortable and provided perfect vistas of the surrounding coast and mountains, and also facilitated swimming/kayaking right at the bottom of the garden. Could not recommend highly enough. Would 100% come back.

Off the beaten path
This cottage is at the end of the road. There is no traffic noise, no sounds at all other than nature. The perfect getaway spot or family time away from all distractions. Lovely comfortable feel the place and has everything you would need to cook or relax and play games or read a book. The caretaker was a lovely woman who was accessable when needed.

Prestons cottage
I'd just like to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in preston cottage .It has a much loved old world feel to it with modern heating and washing facilities, the sea washing up at the end of the garden overlooked from the kitchen table. The very clever extension at the back of the cottage with two extra bedrooms and utility meant there was loads of room for all 7 of us.The only thing we missed was a tumble dryer .thanks Jude

Breathtaking
The pictures of the cottage do not begin to give the place justice. It's much larger and homier than I anticipated. Everything about our trip to Ireland was magical including the cottage. The stunning views cannot be described, everywhere you looked was beautiful. To sit at the kitchen table with the French doors open in the morning was a little piece of heaven. The cottage was well equipped with everything needed to sit back and relax and enjoy the wondrous beauty and peace. My recommendation would be to tell incoming renters to bring all your food and drink needed for your stay and never leave except to take walks.

A magical place
I spent at the cottage only two nights and I had a wonderful stay. The agency provided us with very clear directions to get there and once arrived the caretaker welcomed us. The cottage was amazing, very clean, traditional but with all comforts. The nature around was just breathtaking. We really enjoyed and we highly recommend this cottage.

Lovely house but it has some basic hygiene issues
It is a lovely house in a stunning locations however there were some issues that need attention. There is no bin outside the property and we were told we had to keep the bins inside the house as rodents/foxes could get at them. After a week we had to go to the caretaker who was very helpful and informed her the bins need to be moved elsewhere as the stench was making us feel ill. The bins were kept in the utility room which is between the kitchen and the children's Bedroom which is not suitable. This property urgently requires an outside bin to store refuse. There are two showers in the property which weren't working when we arrived. We had no access to showers for the first five days until one of them was fixed. The other shower was still not working when we left. This is not acceptable especially for a family of five. The caretaker was very helpful to us during our stay but the owner needs to sort out these issues for future holiday tenants.

This is a lovely remotely located cottage. We liked the location and the cottage is modernized and so shows well. What's lacking is comfort really. The bathrooms are lovely but lack any shelves or hooks for towels or combs. The kitchen lighting is too dim over the sink to be useful for washing dishes. But mostly the sofa's are very tired futons too hard to be comfy, and the pillows are also old and tired. The cottage was pretty damp when we arrived (despite the caretaker boosting the heating prior to us arriving). It took several days for the bedding to not feel damp. We loved the thrush hunting for grubs right in front of the kitchen/dining windows, and the tides flooding and ebbing. Midges prevent much outside time (in this July at least) but it was a lovely location. It would need more practical comforts however, for me to recommend it to others.
