"I arrived at about 3 pm. The hotel was with closed and locked gates. I was sure that it was closed as I didn’t see anyone inside. About 45 minutes later the reception person arrived from home. "We loved our stay at the old manor house. It is a beautiful and peaceful country setting. We enjoyed the friendly farm animals (dogs and cats). Dario was a very responsive host and helped us graciously with anything. He even provided a tour of his winery for us which we found very interesting. If you are looking for a peaceful country get away then this is the perfect place. It has plenty of outdoor space and fun for a family."

"I was there for 5 days by myself in the summer. Thankfully, the AC unit was very effective, even on the hottest days. "The Hotel is beautifully appointed with lovely architecture, wall murals and elegant decor. The service was outstanding and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We loved the area with excellent parking right outside the hotel. The breakfast was so delicious with incredible selection of homemade cakes and marmalades and fresh cheeses and prosciutto and mortadella. "

Definitely stay in this piazza

"This is THE place to stay! This piazza is the main place in the whole of Mantua, and you'll be right next to everything. I was charmed to find myself in a room the size of an apartment, with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. I was less than charmed to find out that the Italian passion for saving energy meant that the washing machine and stove are turned off unless one stays for a month. I thought I was in a loft, but it turned out I could hear the people above me rearranging furniture until late each night, but other than that, it was charming and perfect."
