We had to ask for a fan and leave windows on ground floor open all night in order to get some kind of sleep. NOT IDEAL for safety. "Very strange "kitchen" with a stove put on top of what was a bar and is extremely high. No extraction hood so its mpossible to cook. Bathroom without window or extraction fan. Constant noise right outside the door. The ad says the owner speaks French and English but they don't speak a word of English. We did not see the super well equipped place mentioned in other reviews. We do not recommend this place."

"A quiet setting in a single storey rear annexe. The open-plan living/djning/kitchen area was spacious and well equipped. We appreciated Claudie’s friendly welcome and the provision of juice, coffee, tea and store cupboard items. Heating was available as was plenty of hot water, and the beds were comfortable. Wi-fi was mostly good. We would stay again. Thank you Claudie."

"I'm vacating my apartment in mons so have been staying at a number of local hotels. Stayed in room 113 for a week. My only negative is no aircon which would be a nightmare in the summer, they do supply a big noisy fan. Perhaps B&B who are new owners will install aircon? Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. Very comfortable bed, i slept very well. Would recommend the B&B...

"Have stayed in a number of Mons hotels whilst i vacated my apartment in the town. This included 2 stays at the van der valk during October 2024. This time in room 103 for a week, nice big clean room, shower only. Very convenient for getting to my apartment and into the centre of town. Didn't use parking or breakfast. IKEA is 10 mins walk away and do a hot breakfast for a few euros. Also 10 mins walk to cafes etc. Van der Valk is easily best hotel in Mons, happy to recommend "

Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. Very comfortable bed, i slept very well. Would recommend the B&B centre mons (ex lido). There is a launderette just up the street, open 24/7, tokens on sale for machines inside"

"I'm currently preparing to vacate my apartment in Mons after a few years working in Belgium. Stayed Saturday night at the B&B Mons Gare room 207. The young man on reception was incredibly helpful, Joffrey. Our room was very large with a bath. There were a couple of wedding parties in but we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was fine with some hot options for us Brits. I never used the hotel when it was run by IBIS but would recommend. We didn't have a car but the car park looked easy to use. Not in the best part of Mons but we know the area well."

"WE have stayed here a couple of times. The hotel is modern and comfortable. There is also a Spa which seems to be very popular. There is a lively scene in the bar and restaurants which seemed to be used a lot by locals . It is south of Brussels and about a 40 min drive to the airport depending on traffic."
