"Went along for the annual Carnivale. Hotel was located right on the edge of the route so you could walk out and watch the parade. Staff were great. Able to assist with every request even my desperate need for a strong coffee the night after the festival. Only 10 minutes walk from the train station and two minutes to the beach. "We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though: - the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. Bike hire is extra - 35 euro a day. - the pool is lovely - comfortable and a lovely space to relax. However, it’s only open from 10am - 7pm which was a shame as it’s not possible...
