"We stayed in the deluxe double room with a balcony at the Cat Ba View Hotel. The mountain was perhaps 5 meters away, so the view was of a wall of vertical vegetation. It was very private, and we had lovely butterflies flitting about. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was good. The two Nanh's were hospitable and kind. The location is a block off the main street, so the noise is less than directly in Cat Ba Town. If going to Cat Ba, we would stay here again. "

"I did the 1 night cruise and the whole experience was excellent. The administration (Anna) was very friendly and efficient and the logistics for the shuttle were clear. Once on board, the staff were very kind and attentive, the cabin was comfortable and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the excursions, particularly the caves and hiking. "I checked out September 25th so this is a review of the hotel as Cat Ba recovers from the typhoon. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. The sky at and pool were damaged in the typhoon and were being repaired. Overall a good place to stay. "
