The castle was full of history and local charm. Specious living areas and we spent mornings and evening on the front patio enjoying the ambiance with cafe and cocktails. The top of the tower is the perfect spot for sunset and stargazing.
Internet at the castle and in Celra is spotty and slow, so print out your plans for the week or you’ll be frustrated.
We were there when it was unusually hot. Make sure to close all the windows and doors, outside and inside right after coffee to hold the cool air in and you’ll be glad you did.
The train to Girona/Barcelona from Celra is super convenient.
Lara, the property Mgr, has incredible ideas, suggestions and connections! Make sure to ask her for advice and let her help you plan your week early. Her reservations for us were perfectly selected. Especially, Chef Xevi was a highlight, we will all remember our group cooking night as one of the delightful evenings of our stay in Spain.
