"For a cheap motel in a small town, this was about as good as it gets. Clean carpet, comfortable bed with clean sheets and good pillows, lots of clean towels. The bathroom sink and countertop were brand new (unexpected)....the toilet and bathtub were old but entirely adequate. The window curtains were ripped and the AC unit looked like it was on its last legs but worked well. Quiet overnight, big breakfast offered (though standard continental stuff, and not all of it fresh). Overall, slept great...

There is nothing to do here except relax, enjoy the river/deck and rest, which is exactly why we were there. Strong internet connection was a plus. "Renter beware!!! This home is surrounded by what I can only describe as Meth houses.. The host was impossible to reach and gave us inaccurate instructions to obtain the keys to the home. There is zero cell reception, so we were at the mercy of someone checking on us to make sure we arrived. After waiting quite some time the host showed up and gave us a generic code to obtain the house keys. "The house in the pines was a fantasic stay. I would sit and look out those windows for hours. We had amazing sunrise and sunsets this trip! The beds were comfy and loved the layout of the house. We had a few things come up and Jacob was responsive. Though one couldnt be fixed during our stay, it was easy to make contact with him. This house will be on our radar next time we come visit. "
