"There’s not a ton of options to stay within the park, but I am so glad we stayed at The Ranch. It is well kept and an affordable hotel. The grounds were very well maintained. There were a lot of eatery options. We ate at The Saloon and the food was very good. Our room was clean and spacious. There are multiple gift shops. The general store has everything. Their selection of Death Valley merch was better than the national park gift shop. There is a recreation court and pool heated by a hot spring. Unfortunately we didn’t try any of these fun activities because we only stayed one night. The location is perfect and close to all the sights and sees. The staff is extremely friendly and provide exceptional service. I definitely will stay here again and recommend The Ranch to those visiting Death Valley NP. "

"The basic loft room I got is pretty well maintained, clean and spacious. The location is very convenient to go to the Yosemite National Park. The only downside is no good food options in the area, and not a fan of the hotel restaurant. Overall a nice stay."

"It was a very nice and comfortable place to stay. The staff were very friendly. Having the fridge and microwave was a plus. We had one of the few rooms with a balcony. The view wasn’t amazing but it was nice to be able to step out for some fresh air, even in the winter time. "

"We had a nice overnight stay at the Motel 6 in Bishop. The room was clean and the bed was more comfortable than other similar places we've stayed in town. The towels and sheets were clean and decent quality. It was a little annoying to have to go to the lobby for coffee in the morning instead of making it in the room, and the attendant had trouble keeping enough hot coffee available because guests were filling big thermoses when we were just trying to fill cups. The wifi also didn't work, even though we were right by the office. We were able to connect to it but the internet itself didn't actually work."
