"Due to the economical, geographical and exceptional staff of this hotel there's no other hotel I will ever stay at in Newport The views of the bridge, the distance between the hotel and the "city center riff raff", the respectful budget friendly rates as well as the polite/accommodating management & staff has been a breath of fresh air for the coastal hospitality market. Your room is cleaned by staff that is trustworthy, knows the industry standards of cleanliness and is kind as can be. I spent years in this industry and I've stayed here a total of around 70 consecutive days; I will recommend this hotel to everyone I can. ***I've read many other reviews and here is my two cents. Yes, there is often the scent of robust spices in the building. However, it smells good and there is never a residual smell only whatever is currently cooking. The ownership and/or management live on site, it is their home and that smell is their culture. My room was directly above theirs and not once did I find the smell offensive. The silver lining of it is that if it is safe and comfortable enough for their young family to call home then it is more than adequate for you and yours for a few days.***"

"We got a room on the third floor with an ocean view. Its a spacious room with a decent sized king bed. It didnt have any funky smells or questionable stains and it was clean. There are some minor maintenance issues to attend to like some chipped paint under the window or the missing window screen, but other then that it was a perfect little stay for our mini vacation."
